G36C - I have seen the light

Let it be said that I've always been a sceptic of the G36C. Of my 5896349 different logins, it was the second unlock I ever used, and like the G3, disappointed me massively. Consequently I kicked it to the curb and focused on using the medic guns.

For quite a while I laboured under the delusion that the medic unlock or the default assault were the ideal all round INF combat guns. Then after seeing so much praise for the G36C, I thought I'd create a new guy and try again. Holy crap. I don't know what crack I was smoking before, but this thing is lethal.

Controlled bursts and they always fall. I used to tear my hair out with the G3's wandering bullets and how you'd nail three guys and the fourth would smash you when reloading. That is a thing of the past.

Maybe it's the way I play (kamikaze rush style ftw), but I found this infinitely superior - I HATE HATE HATE the weapons that dont shoot where I aim... and this is by far the only weapon that "goes where I want it to" if you catch my drift. What DICE were on when they sussed out Assault as a class I don't know, but I know I'm totally superior with the G36C over the Assault defaults or G3 in normal infantry combat situations.

It probably just suits your playing style better than the G3.

Yes the G36C is a sweet gun that actually hits what you aim for....amazing, and has very little recoil. It's practically a sniper rifle on distant targets.

I often think though that Spec Ops class is a little too powerful sometimes, given the facts that they have insanely accurate carbines by default, a fantastic unlockable weapon, C4 explosives, grenades and the fact that they are very quick on their feet compared to other classes.

yeah I played against someone who knew exactly what the hell he was doing with the G36C, he had like 25-3 at the end of the round, very very frustrating to play against (especially when you're using LMG :hmm: ) seemed like every bullet he fired was a hit cuz the damn thing is so accurate. I unlocked it but I'm always busy keeping my LMG stats up so I don't get to use it as often as I like but when I do it really does hit where you want it to unlike every other gun in the game.

I just got to my first unlock and decided to load up the demo and use the hack to try out all of the unlockable guns in single player mode before chosing (why isn't this an option in the full game for craps sake?? -It makes no sense that you have to pick one before you can try them all out).

Anyway it was my pick after trying them all. I miss the scope for long shots, but damn is it accurate!

I play smart with my g3. Get around 3- 4 kills with each clip. Unless there's like a noob toobing bunny hopper in front of me, in that case I give him the full clip.

I regret unlocking medic gun instead of g36c.

G36C is the best unlock too IMO, but this dickhead unlocked the G3 instead.....still good really, but since i play spec ops 90% of the time, the G36C would've been the better option.....

This will be my second unlock, PKM for urban maps G36c for all others.

I'm testing the G36C in SP now. I'll probably make it my 2nd unlock (1st was DAO-12) and start playing more SpecOps.

Using the G36c almost exclusively has taken my overall accuracy from 11% to 18%

Never tried the G36C but it's on my list of unlocks to get.

All the spec ops guns are uber accurate, they would put the sniper rifles to shame if they had higher power scopes.

G3 was a very disapointing unlock. The M16 has more acc, a bigger clip and when you put two bursts in a guys chest he instantly dies. G3 is supposed to have ubber acc but when I fire a couple rounds they entirely miss even when I give time for recoil and I'm laying down. Other times you instantly kill someone in one or two shots and you go WTF because you were aiming for a leg or something. While full auto the gun is almost uncontrollable and you'll be lucky to get one kill like that when you're in a tight spot. The M16 should be a unlock and the G3 should be a default gun.

I really don't know what EA was thinking when they thought up most the unlocks. I could think of a couple dozen guns that would be better unlocks they what they have.

BTW the trick with the medics unlock (L85A1) is to shoot in volleys of about five rounds and double tap while scoped.

Actually if you take a look, you will see that m4 has LESS zoom with the scope than g36c with iron sights. Surprising, but true. Try it.

I was never good with Spec Ops guns. I took G36C for the first unlock, but I couldn't shoot with it for s***. I'm more of an assault type of player. Yesterday I gave spec ops another try. Kept distance using great accuracy and remembering that I do not have the bulletproof vest. And I did great :) Never had a better Spec Ops game. I think I'll try to get better with SO, because it's a really powerfull class.

Does anybody have good hints on using both G3 and G36C??
