Can you find some proof on that ?
    Any benchmarkers tested the GTX-7800 with a 2Ghz and a 3Ghz for difference ?

      Re: 7800gtx

i'm talking about real life performance not bollocks benchmarks.

An exmple of this is my bros pc he has a amd 2600+ running at 2ghz with a 6600gt the game runs well over 50fps and looks and plays pretty well exactly the same as my mates 6800gt system with a amd64 3400+. Both have 1gb pc3200 ram.

At the end of the day its a question of weather the rig can handle it excess power is meaningless.

        Re: 7800gtx

Well that depends on what video settings your running, if you can run on high settings with AAx4 at 60-100FPS with the 2Ghz rig i would be extremley suprised ??

How about most of you have 0 idea what your saying. Not everyone but most. If you bumped up to 2 gigs of ram, you'd be playing with 8xaa and 16xaf with ease. The cpu is NOT a bottle neck. A AMD64 at 2.7 ghz is not a bottleneck what so ever. I have not had the experience to play at 1600x1200 yet. This is due to my 17 in crt monitor. So one day I will but until then. IDK

I have no will or want to play at those resolutions, they seem like a waste to me (Judging from mah' uncles computer)...

I think a 19" Dell or Apple LCD is a very nice monitor... anything more than that and it turns into a , " Because I can " situations...

Also. His processor is not a bottleneck, unless you're counting 1-6 frames as a serious loss. Then, by that logic, it is.

In the benchmark he posted, the 3000+ is running at 2.0 GHz and the FX-57 is running at 2.8 GHz. Close enough for you?
