Didn't see the video, huh? Sorry, no link for this one ( actually used ina TV show!), but it was in a firefight between U.S. and iraqi forces.

Lets just say clean up would need some garbage bags and towles. Maybe some moist towlets, too. :cry:

A Grain is a Grain even in Russia, my friend. Bullets are measured in Grains no matter where you are.

Yes, but your measuring system is gay. Why not to use this easy 1:100 scale rather that 1:5.2345135 scale or whatever?

And btw, it's NOT grains where ever you are. We know how to calculate in kilograms or grams in this matter. It's far more logical than this UK/US system.

I don't wan't to start any kind of feud over this, but come on, metric system is just too logical comparing to this grain whatever...

Read the caption below the video. Its not a whole body flying through the air, its body parts, they just got blown to pieces, so I think it is possible that a 50. caliber bullet could do that. You can see the arms and head and most of the upper body in the third one.

It is true Geneva Convention prohibits the use of .50 cal against humans.

I think that is a bit of urban myth/confusion, I cant find reference to that anywhere. In fact there are many sources (Google them) that say specifically that it is not banned. What the USA signed up to was Hague Convention IV of 1907, Article 23(e) which says

"...it is especially forbidden -

To employ arms, projectiles, or material {sic} calculated to cause unnecessary suffering;"

Did they explain why the last target was wearing a big furry coat, with a bushy tail as it ran onto the rocks on all fours? (Watch it again, slow the video, enlarge it.)

And no. A .50 will not do that to a person. It does a lot of damage, and parts can come off depending on the strike location. But nothing as is depicted in the video. (disintegration of mass portions). Neither from a .50 sniper rifle... or the M2 that was mounted on my tank in Iraq.

Did you go to the site? I put a link, read the caption at the bottom. I didnt see any fur and it wasnt walking on all fours. Watch the third one, you can see arms and a head. And yes a .50 could do that to a person, if it can do it to a goat then it can do it to a person. Those arent whole bodies flying through the air, theyre body parts.

I have my doubts about this... I'm not really sure if .50 cal bullet has enough energy to rip and throw some 40-50 kilos of goat around like that. I really doubt it... If that was few kilos of meat or some bunnyhopper, then i could understand, but a goat? Nah...

A .50 cal can blow apart a concrete block and break wood in half.

EDIT: What I mean is that it can do those 2 things one after the other.
