Tank Vs. Jet

Ok so I'm rolling along the East-Side beach at Clean Sweep in my tank, and I see a US jet coming at me slow over the water, ready to bomb my ass to hell. So I pop off a shot and blow him up. Very fun, wicked satisfying, but I didn't get any credit. It just said "WussyPilot is no more."

Anyone else?

It's not the first time I've shot down a jet with a tank, but I never had time to look at the messages. I just assumed it would say Attila05 [f'n tank] FliesLikeADufus

Was it a fighter or a bomber? If it was a bomber, I guess there was no co-pilot? I never understood why people take off alone in bombers. If there was a co-pilot in there, he could have owned your booty.

Once drove tank and made quick scan around. Spotted kamikaze jet behind me. By pure reflex my finger clicked mouse and no more jet. I got normal kill credit for that and it was soooo satisfying kill

Ive taken out quite a few jets with the tanks and I have always gotten the kill. It's a very satisfying kill at that :)

its a hard task wen the jet is next to u, i've done it be4, but i didnt think i'd hit him, timing has to be perfect

Yeah he could have, if he hadn't been flying directly into my turret nice and slow ten feet off the water.

The really fun part is imagining his thought process: "oh look a tank! I'm going to own his booty! hahahahahahaha!" BOOM.

But still, why didn't I get the kill? Maybe he jumped out, but immediately died some other way? Maybe I shot a bomb as he was dropping them?

Yeah THAT is total bull. A blackhawk shouldn't be able to limp away from a direct hit by a tank.

The armor on the jets has to be nothing more than a thin layer of paper. You can send a jet packing with fire from your infantry weapons. It's kind of sad, really.

maybe u didnt hit him or seomthing and blew up for no reason...which might be why u didnt get the kill

The armor on the jets has to be nothing more than a thin layer of paper. You can send a jet packing with fire from your infantry weapons. It's kind of sad, really.

Jets aren't armored - only the A10 AFAIK, and then only around the cockpit.

I have had this happen to me as well with both a tank and Eryx. I got off a lucky as hell shot with the Eryx and I was like OMG!! Yahhh... then didn't get credit.. the pilot didn't believe me either ;/

the guys u killed in the plane was noob cause never slow down your plane ulsess you are severely hit and are at main and are totaly sure there is no more ennemy jet out there. for me you wouldn't stand a chance as 75%of my jet attack are successfull(i mean in a fighter(2bombs)) and i attack 90' from top so i can see my teamate near the ennemy even at 600feet. never knew what hit ya . anyway, everybody make mistakes and the guy maybe hit escape or his girlfriend slaped his face cause hes playing too much often hehe:p

I've only done it once before and I got credit for the kills. It was a bomber with pilot and copilot.
