  • this was GREAT - for us, not them

not sure of the total game time, or even the score
    but I Do remember this
we won with only 1 kill on our side
and only 1 death on their side
    mashtur city - 32 man
I have 1.5 g of ram, so usually load in 1st on new maps
I use GREAT patience to NOT zoom off alone in the BH - as I can get at least 1/2 flags on my own

I waited till we had 1 empty seat, then launched
I am getting pretty good at high speed "swooops" onto flags (as oppsed to just idling over)
and with a near full boat - we capped each quickly,
    including their main
next thing you know - we have all flags
and are cruising around looking for enemy
(alas - still had no commander)
found one guy running down a ramp
side gunner - 2 secs - for kill
    game over

now DON't YELL at BH strat
this just happenned to work out his way
ususuly get met with tanks and AT
    just not this time

thought it was fun to share with readers
    a fun quick game
so - easy on the flames please

it's lame but it can be funny sometimes.

On mashtuur city I have already had, that when I can enter the game, all flag are already taken, lol

Great story!... but I wasn't aware the amount of memory you have affects how fast your game loads. I always thought it was CPU and HDD speed.

this server had a 1 round rotation
so, only guys with fast ram got in
maybe this should be a clue -->
          never have 1 round rotations?
guys with smaller rams ALWAYS get screwed that way

one thing they *really* need to add is a feature that takes the players who have yet to load into a new map into account as far as starting the game is concerned (and also how many can spawn in per side). So, in a 'team balance' game, you have to have the minimum number of people for a game to start *in the game*, and only so many people can spawn as are currently ready on the other team (with a 'reasonable' time after which it is open-season, so slow-loaders and lost-connections don't force people to sit and wait for more than really needed).

Being able to cap an entire map with only one other player on the other team having mangaged to spawn in is just stupid. Its funny the first time you do it, but the ability for a fast-loader to get in, grab a tank, race around the map and give their team a flag/ticket lead is just lame.

It's not the size of your RAM that matters... it's where you stick it!

              (I prefer my DIMM slots.)

It is a combination but it does have a relationship. With 4GB i can usually gain up to a 2 miniute advantage on the slowest rig. (Before any one goes of on a misinformed rant, I am using xp64 wich does support 4GB)

That's just like somebody in Warcraft II sending their ONE peon to kill the other player's ONE peon in the first seconds of the game. Pointless if you ask me.

I hate it when the round is over before other team has time to spawn in. It happend once on Karkand, well is was starting to happne. I was USMC and we had taken the first flag and were going for the second one and there were only 4-5 MECs playing so far. I asked my team to wait for other team to spawn in so it woudl be fun but no one listened. So i took the APC, drove right up to an MEC guy and jumped out so he could have it. The bastard even tried to kill me after i did it. Well this evened up things and the round ended up lasting like it was supposed to.

1 round per map servers should be destroyed... and no, not only 'cause of loading times..who in their right mind wants to reload the game/map after every freaking round....??

I like change of pace, so I like the 1 round servers. Playing on the same map more than once gets rather repetitive it gets rather repetitive.
