Uzip to a folder, where the files won't be moved later, if you move the folder the settings won't be applied at startup again.
To set PCI Latency for gfx, find the primary video card in list. Right-click and Change Setting(s), set it to e.g. 64 or 32. Then go to menu press Apply, then Save, then Apply on StartUp.
It is a good idea to ahve the video and sound card to similar values or close, don't mess with other hardware as it probably isn't needed, only sound and gfx card.

Mine looks like that too, with all 000 except for firewire. I don't use the PCI Latency on my new system, actually I can't as I have a PCI Express.Originally posted by idash

The latency only works on AGP and 'regular' PCI cards, so I imagine you have a new system that also has PCI Express. :)
Your particular problem probably lies elsewhere.
Have you installed the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard?? Not just the ones that came on the install CD but latest from manufacturer's website.
And what about all other vital drivers, like gfx card and audio drivers??
It could also be that if you have the AMD 3200 XP as mention above is your bottleneck in your system, I'm not that quite familier with how well that runs BF2. If whole system isn't at same level of performance, one single component can hold the rest of the hardware back, and then it won't matter that much if you have a very powerfull gfx card.Comment

A good starting point to get an idea of how your system performs is to start your own multiplayer server. Go to multiplayer -> create local -> use 32 player Dalian Plant map and spawn on the american carrier deck. Turn on the FPS counter (renderer.drawfps 1). When you walk around on deck you should have 99 FPS.
It seemes like the latest Nvidia driver have sacrificed some performance for quality. You could try to go back to the driver that comes with BF2. Your Asus mainboard has two BIOS settings called CPU interface and system performance in the advanced chipset features. You could try setting these to aggressive. If your system wont start afterwards you might have to use the clear cmos jumper. Check out what memory timings your memory can handle. Reducing them might help performance in BF2. Also make 100% shure you are running dual channel on the two memory chips. I think mem slot 2 & 3 is recommended by Nvidia.
The Athlon XP 3200+ is a pretty decent CPU and should (with a properly set up system) give more than 60FPS.Comment
