I own one. It's the same as 518 except lower performance (doesn't really matter though)

I love my mx510.. I would never switch to a new mouse and when this one breaks (if it ever does.. I've had it for 2 years now) I will buy another one.

MX518 is also lighter than the 510.

I have one in red and works just fine, fits my hand niecly and the extra buttons are a nice addition. Don't know how it compares to other mice that are on the market because I have only used this particular one but in my opinion it was worth the money.

if you are going wireless, go for G7 and not Mx1000.

I just purchased an Mx510 with a new high-end soundcard from Newegg.com. This is the best mouse I have ever owned. The Mx518 might be better, but I probably wouldn't notice the difference.

My kills have gone up tremendously since I bought this mouse, and I upgraded from a Microsoft Intellimouse Optical. I highly recommend this product.

I've got an mx518, and i can't see it being much different from the mx510 apart the on-the-fly dpi change. That comes in handy when changing from infantry-tanks-sniping.
I wouldn't recommend wireless, i had a mx700 (i think) after afew months it was agony to try and get it charging, then i would have to click approx. 3 times to fire 1 buttet, this was playing Americas Army, if you'v played you'll know how much the first click means. I actually chose a lame dell wheel mouse just so i would fire when i clicked.

lol, forgot to say how brilliant my mx518 is

Wireless is definately a no no, since I'm in a big clan I hear the same complaints every other week. Wireless joysticks, mouses and keyboards running out of battery power, not responding immediately, mouses flying of desks (hehe). If you're a serious gamer why should you use a wireless setup?

i havew an mx510. i wish i waitd a few weeks bcause the mx518 is better and cheaper. but it doesnt bother me, the mx510 is a gret upgrade from a microsfot optical mouse its more comfortable and has more buttons.
