        Re: Sniping.

People are saying the m95 bullets drop quite alot. But i havent actually seen any proof of that. Ive seen someone make a kill at a huge range by aiming high...but that could have been luck...if they did the same thing 20 times in a match then it would be proof.

Also...someone said they fired bullets at a rock and all the bullets hit the ground below the target...again this could just be random bullet spread since if the bullets went to ohigh they would fly off into the distance or into the sky...so how would they know where they hit? But the bullets that randomly go downwards would hit the ground.

--So if you fired a machine gun at a rock, obviously some bullets would hit the ground and some would hit 'nothing'. Whats more, given the angle, the bullets that randomly go high would hit targets much more spread out than the bullets that randomly go low.

What we need is someone to battlerecord someone firing bullets at a target at equal height (a poster on a large wall) and show the results edited together with the target and the shooter's view side by side on a split-screen.

Its the random deviation appearing to make the bullet have a drop...fire enough bullets and you'll see movement left/right/up as well...The only thing I have really seen is bullet time...at 300m there is a slight delay for the bullet getting there...

For me, unless you are on an urban map with < 150m shots, the deviation of the M95 is just too much to bother with...Shame they nerfed what could have been a worthy unlock.

            Re: Sniping.

If you hold down the control key while taking the shot it will show you (within 150m) where bullet lands, this way you can adjust your shot accordingly if you miss the first time. All sniper weapons have bullet drop rates, the heaviest being the M95. The video above showed perfect proof of this. As far as Sniping spots, not many good snipers will tell you their spots, but I will share this one spot with all of you on the Mashur City map. It's elevated for one giving you a bird's eye view of about 80% of the map in all corners. It is also protected, anyone trying to get a bead on you is going to have a hard time hitting you, regardless of skill set. If you lie prone about 2 feet from the edge you are undetected from the ground. The only persons that will be able see are others 200 to 300m away and even then you appear as a fuzz barely noticable as a target. I can tell you this when I play Mashur City I love it because I know if I can make it to my spot I'm not going to get killed and I'm going to rack up the points.

As far as I'm concerned, the M95 is just so disappointing. I cannot even hit a guy on the machine gun turret in the hummer from 50m away, something I can do on a regular basis with the M24 and the SVD.

well thats partially beause of the bugged hitboxes of static/dynamic objects ... I often cant shoot someone "mouted" to a MG while I score perfect headshots to his buddies standing behind him. Something else for everyone to try: shoot someone in their feet twice with your m24 and they will be dead - do the same thing through the back of a hmmvw and your will need 3+ shots :hmm:

Yes, that's it. I unloaded a full clip from Type 88 at a point blank range to an enemy's head. There were smoke puffs, nothing else... Well, knife got him for good.
