There are times I'm in a server and like 20 people just drop from the server. It's not always the individual...this game has its issues.
Yeah, I can remember after I bought the game I started noticing all these little roaches coming out of my DVD drive. An Orkin man came to the apartment and asked me if I had purchased any cheap and/or defective software lately. It was then that I mentioned Battlefield 2. i have not gotten a single cdt so far. I did have ctds though when i was using an diff mobo and ram. Something might be wrong with your hardware.
Either that or bf2 hates the via chipset because that was the type of mobo i was using. Now i use an nforce3 mobo and have not had a single cdt or bsod sinc playing. I could also be your ram. Try using different sticks of ram. the crucial ballistix ram gave me problems in games but now i use the patriot xbl and no problems
My story of CTD
I use a battle recorder.. render the demo to avi file (downloaded from planetbattlefield-demo.cmd) & happily views the movie..... and after that BF2 will CTD whenever I tried to load a map even in singleplayer... i.e it can lauch..select account.select the map..set time,player etc etc... press start... then CTD.... i've tried to search all over this forum for this kind of CTD... can ne 1 help me?
before that avi rendering my BF2 works fine

-run my BF2 at lowest possible setting & default setting
but to no avail....

Ive been getting alot of crashes to.My usually happens when i first load the map i join the server and click a spawn point then boom there the crashed to the desktop and i know for sure it isnt my PC its the patch because this didnt happen with 1.02
