CTDs!!

Ugh, all these Crashes are starting to **** me off.

I swear the last time I experienced this many crashes was when I tried Windows ME.

I get at least one a session.

Anyone else think this is rediculous?

Obviously you have something wrong with your computer. Check to make sure you have the latest drivers for your video cards. A low power supply might also cause this problem.

All the latest drivers and a 600W PSU.

Try deleting any folders found in:
C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache

Sometimes the shaders can get a little fragmented and cause problems like CTD's.

There are times I'm in a server and like 20 people just drop from the server. It's not always the individual...this game has its issues.

Yeah, I can remember after I bought the game I started noticing all these little roaches coming out of my DVD drive. An Orkin man came to the apartment and asked me if I had purchased any cheap and/or defective software lately. It was then that I mentioned Battlefield 2. He simply smiled and said, "Yeah, we've been getting that a lot lately."

I get a 1 CTD every day or so
on all 3 of my LAN systems
never at the same time
all have very current drivers, etc

i have not gotten a single cdt so far. I did have ctds though when i was using an diff mobo and ram. Something might be wrong with your hardware.

Either that or bf2 hates the via chipset because that was the type of mobo i was using. Now i use an nforce3 mobo and have not had a single cdt or bsod sinc playing. I could also be your ram. Try using different sticks of ram. the crucial ballistix ram gave me problems in games but now i use the patriot xbl and no problems

My story of CTD
I use a battle recorder.. render the demo to avi file (downloaded from planetbattlefield-demo.cmd) & happily views the movie..... and after that BF2 will CTD whenever I tried to load a map even in singleplayer... i.e it can lauch..select account.select the map..set time,player etc etc... press start... then CTD.... i've tried to search all over this forum for this kind of CTD... can ne 1 help me?

before that avi rendering my BF2 works fine

What i've tried
-complete uninstal & reeinstal
-manual uninstal & reinstal
-reeinstal my 3dc driver - catalyst 5.5
-update my 3dc driver - catalyst 5.9
-run my BF2 at lowest possible setting & default setting
but to no avail....

Got a score of 5560 on 3DMArk03 before & after this incident

i use ATi radeon 9800 Pro 128Mb (256b)
P4 2.6G
512DDR PC300

Ive been getting alot of crashes to.My usually happens when i first load the map i join the server and click a spawn point then boom there the crashed to the desktop and i know for sure it isnt my PC its the patch because this didnt happen with 1.02
