Thats the best way if you have a "normal" keyboard (not soft button laptop style) it dosent damage them and they snap back in. I used to have keyboard with those "windows keys" in a bad place and so kept hitting them in the heat of battle so i just popped them out and actually threw them away because i have never used them before or since  ....

I don't know how, but i have pressed escape in-game before a couple of times and although you can rejoin fairly quickly it seems to lag like crazy for me for a while afterwards (FPS lag not connection) so is best avoided and once it happened while i was flying a chopper much to the distress of my co-pilot that ended up as a crater..... very confused

Great tip with the bottle cap though i had never thought of that before even though its such a simple idea, ignore the flamers they will go for anything

I hit the esc key all the time and it makes me SOOO mad. But that' because I'm used to RA3 and I hit it a lot in RA3.

Hey if you get lit up as much as i do on ranked servers,You would pound the **** out of your key board as well! It doesn't help that i play in the dark.
Im using a saitex gamers key board that is back lit, doesnt matter im to busy watching the screen, never look down cause that = death.
The most critical time is when the enemy has all the flags and your the last guy left,ya i can get back on the server via esc key, but I just lost the battle!
Thanks 4 all replys, ITS ALL GOOD! See you on the field of battle gentlemen.

Teaves, you can actually assign those in BF2 and considering I use UHJK, it is great to have them. However, now, wheverever I play HL2, I am constantly hitting them and screwing myself.
