Worst Squad Leader Ever

Tonight I had a lot of fun with several good squads and commanders using VOIP. Unfortunately, the core group started logging off and I was forced to join a new squad. I select "Spawn on Squad Leader" and guess what happens...

I spawn, see a guille suite, and BOOM. Teamkilled.

Squad Leader Genius decides he's going to choose a sniper kit, camp out on the crane, and surround himself with claymores for his squadmates to spawn into.

I believe this guy earns the Worst Squad Leader Ever award, can anybody top this?

lol, thats pretty stupid. Sometimes I get a squad leader that spends most of their time in a tank so you cant spawn on them!

I'm just guessing whos a bigger m(o)rr(o)n ...

your squad leader .. or you that you spawn on the sniper !!! usualy (from what I have seen) snipers hide somewhere and place this weird claymores ...

as a squad leader you need to be either on foot or in a large vehicle and you need to hang back from the fighting as much as possible so your squad can complete your current objective instead of having to walk all the way back when they have to respawn at a flag

i'll leave squads where the leader is flying around in an attack helo or sniping because it never works the way it's supposed to

actually i remember once on daqing oilfields. i spawned on my squad leader a split second before he entered a tank. so as soon as i spawned i was directly in his line of travel and what does he do? runs me over of course

This is one of my pet hates atm. I spend most of my time swapping between squads trying to find one that uses VoIP and actually issues orders. Also, I put some thought into it, checking what player classes are in the squad already, and I choose a kit that's needed.

So far I've only been in maybe three or four squads that I've had alot of fun with, using VoIP, and being very effective in what we were doing.

yeah, you don't find a good squad too often. But when you do, its a lot of fun and makes playing 100% better.

Sounds like he started a squad not for teamplay, but to have direct communications with the commander. I can't say I really agree with this. If you're going to be sniper, sure it's fine to form a squad, but it should not only be for the reason I mentioned - and they should label the squad as "Sniper" or something to that effect. Any effective sniper needs to be buddied up with a spotter, preferably one with a supply kit, who can then keep the sniper in ammo, help watch his flanks, and spot.

Of course, I don't play sniper much at all, so maybe I'm just talking out my rear. :)

no your post sounds right on to me and maybe they should lock their squad so unsuspecting players don't join and spawn into their deathtrap

Damn straight. I spawned on my squad leader last night on the crummy Kubra Dam, and lo and behold there's a Claymore sitting right in front of me. I abused my squad leader for being a twit and then as I tried to sneak away I was blown up, swiftly followed by another team-mate spawning on his other claymore. Dolt! That has to come a close second to clowns who are squad leaders in aircraft so that no one can spawn on them.
