isnt the helicopter TV giuded missile a 1 hit kill on anything it touches? thats the only 1 hit kill besides TOW/HJ8 launchers i have ever gotten. anyway with a SRAW/ERYX shooto for treads or the back of the tank, it only takes 2 missiles to kill instead of 3
both T90 and abrams both have 1-hit kill spots, however these are inaccesible by rockets (as stated previously) so u pretty much need to be in another tank to do it.
only time its usefull is those uber-close battles where u like hit into each other etc...ive only ever managed to do it from long range once. (and that was pretty fkcen sweet, haha)
the spots are on the front of both tanks and very easy to locate once u know where they are. u can hit them every time if the other tank isnt moving and ur relatively close.
the "neck" of the tank connecting the turret to the body, tt's the one-hit kill area. best accessed by tank shots, hard to hit with AT rockets butnothing is impossible i guess
it is possible to kill a tank with one shot i know this to be true i was on a server with just 1 other person he was anti tank and i had a MEC tank and he took me out with 1 shot i'm like WTF hacker but i know he's not hacking there's a place to hit but i've heard so many different stories i don't know what to believe
1 shoot straight down the barrel
2 shoot the treads
3 shoot at the hatch on the top of the turret
4 shoot st the viewport on the front of the tank
5 shoot at the joint between the turret and tank body
None of these places will destroy a tank in one hit with the anti-tank rocket launcher.

Tank shells simply do more damage than AT missiles. That's why you can get 1 shot kills with TOWs and tanks, but not with AT rockets. All the 2 shot AT areas should be one shot kills for tanks.
EDIT: Looks like tank shells do about the same damage as AT rockets. TOWs are full of one shot goodness.
the 1 shot kill is not the neck spot, it is right under the infra red spotter thing on the abrams. keep shooting around there and you will find it. i found it within 2 shots.
I dont know .... however if u watch the opening video it shows and AT guy taking down the tank with one rocket.....
Yes yes i know it is the beginning vid, but they sometimes give u good clues.
Anyway, he brings the rocket down so it hits the top part of the main body... not the turret just the top of the "1st layer". Kind of hard to do with an Eryx but im sure possible with the SRAW.
Dont ask me if it works, this is just my observation.
It is impossible to kill a tank with just one shot unless the tank has taken some damage previously. There is no magic location. Those who believe they have recorded a one shot kill simply didn't see that the tank had taken some damage before their shot finished it off.
I've been 1-shot killed while in a tank quite some times, by other tanks, but also by AT guys.
(And once my tank got destroyed by a single artillery shell, that hit the tank right on the top!)
been one-shot killed too, but always by an opposing tank, and usually with me head-on to them, so I'm still not 100% of the location...I've hit tanks in the 'neck' area with tanks and not gotten the one-shot kill..
last night before we scrimmed, we were in an empty server...from about 30' I shot a M1A1 in the 'IR' area on the top of the turret. I hit both of them - left and right side (2 different areas) - and didn't get a one-shot kill.... I'll pracitce it again and see what I can find..
Yeah, Eryx and SRAW are almost exactly the same, aren't they? Just look a bit different.
I'm willing to believe there is a tank vs tank one shot kill, as I really don't use them much. But I think this thread has really shown that one-shot-kills against tanks with AT rockets mostly sprung from general rumour and myth, than solid fact.
I'm not saying you tank drivers are lying when you say you were shot once with an AT rocket, but it's easy to take damage and not notice, or take damage from more than one source at once, or get hit by a cheater possibly?
