Yes, sorry, I know this has been done-to-death and argued and whatever. But please, have some kindness on me.

Just show me, once and for all, exactly how to do it. Call me a cynic, but I still don't think it's possible.

All I ask is that you tell me exactly where to shoot the AT rocket, and on which tank it works. That's it.

Or one screenshot, if you like.

Please, just give this definitive proof and prove me wrong, once and for all. :)

What I don't want is "omg i like totally shot this rocket and the tank blew up looool!!" or things like that, thanks. Don't argue for or against the existance of the one-shot-kill. Just...clear this mystery up. :)

It's not that hard. Hitting them anywhere will one hit kill them. It will even kill them if they get into a jeep!

How do you cause a tank to explode when the only thing that has ever damaged it is one single anti-tank rocket launched from either an ERYX or a SRAW in the EA and DICE game "Battlefield 2"?

It is impossible to kill a tank with just one shot unless the tank has taken some damage previously. There is no magic location. Those who believe they have recorded a one shot kill simply didn't see that the tank had taken some damage before their shot finished it off.

I also subscribe to this line of thinking, but so many claim otherwise. I'd just like some simple proof that I can go off and try out.

I know in other games if you fire Anti tank rockets at the rear of a tank or apc it causes more damage but im not certain this is the case here. I never really bothered trying. But definatly wont blow up a tank with one shot. It should from the rear, because anti tank rockets are pretty much useless, AT Mines and C4 blow it up automatically, and it sucks for Anti Tank players who have to get 3 shots in and then someone else steals the kill.

The only one-shot kills I've ever scored on healthy tanks are with the TOW/HJ-8, and I hit them on the flat side (facing the front or back of the tank) of the treads.

my main kit is anti-tank, so i know there is no way to kill a fully repaired tank with one hit with the eryx,sraw... hj8's and tows, it is easily posible...

Rear of the treads is the best damage you can do with a shoulder mounted AT rocket.

i have killed an abrams twice woith one shot from a t-90 with the abrams at full health, but im shure you guys already know where the spot is. impossible with at rockets. go for treadsfor best results.

well its really funny when you put c4 in the road and when an AT guy shots his rocker and it blows up. It gives him the kill so hese like "holy **** i killed it on one hit"
and everyone else is like "really where u hit it?!?!?!"
and heel go "right on top of the turret"
so evryone will be AT and il got et my PKM and mow em all down :laugh: lozers

Actually, I didn't know you could take abrams down with the t-90 in one hit. Where do you shoot? It might at least be useful for AT rockets to do more damage. :)

I think AT rockets need more than one hit with very good reason: it's harder to blow anything up with AT mines and C4, thus you should be rewarded with the kill. AT mines can be defused, avoided, and need to be pre-placed. Putting C4 on a vehicle is hard, needs to packets to take a tank down, and so on.

if AT rockets were one-shot-to-kill-tanks, it'd be too unbalanced. :)

it is possible to kill a tank with one shot i know this to be true i was on a server with just 1 other person he was anti tank and i had a MEC tank and he took me out with 1 shot i'm like WTF hacker but i know he's not hacking there's a place to hit but i've heard so many different stories i don't know what to believe

1 shoot straight down the barrel

2 shoot the treads

3 shoot at the hatch on the top of the turret

4 shoot st the viewport on the front of the tank

5 shoot at the joint between the turret and tank body
