Think about how ppl using other kits must feel. Like the support guys. They carry a friggin M249 SAW and can't hit the broadside of a barn unless prone and even then it sux.. IRL it's deadly accurate, has low recoil and will blow you into the next millenium..

Uhh and exactly where do you see this? And rambo doesn't count.

I'm not shure I understand your point here but I have read many times about the SAW and also read a review from an online weapon site. He fired the saw standing, crouched and prone.

What a lot of bollix!

The barrett 50 cal is deadly and heres a short but true story about it.

I live in Northern Ireland and I'd reckon on you knowing a fair bit about what goes on here lol.

Anyhooooo in county armagh at the hieght of the "troubles" there was a infamous "sniper at work" who would take out britsh army soldiers on patrol in one shot.

He used a Barrette Light 50. and what he done was lay in a modified back end of a car behind an armoured plate with a hole cut in it.

The car was then driven to within a mile or so of a bombscare (I.R.A phones in a bomb has been placed somewhere) and waits for the bomb squad/patrol to come and check it out.

He then waits for them to have checked the site and they have relaxed somewhat and picks his target.

And his target was a soldier who was nelt beside a lamp post covering his squad, the bullit hit him a midrift taking off his arm at the elbow passing thru his armour and proceeding on to near cut him in half.

He was killed instantly in one shot.

Now I know that the games not real and is messed up for balance purposes but come on upto 5 shots to kill with a 50 cal lol.

The m95 should be one shot kill to the torso no argument about balance or anything thats the way it should be.

Ive had a player kill me from long range with a noob tube quicker than I could put them down with the m95 lol and its not my aim,I had him 3 times in the head before he got his shot off.

I could go on and on telling you about how the m95 (censored) up,So what I'm saying is fix it pronto.

Oh and as for those who think the game will turn into sniper wars if they were one shot kill well thats just ********! what will happen is you wont have noobs running about thinking thier rambo.

There will be more use of the armour/surroundings as cover and probably better all round play.

I think in the case where the sniper rifle is made one shot kill there should be a restriction in some format of how many snipers can be deployed per team/squad.

And of course when I say one shot kill that would be a hit to the head or torso.

sounds like u missed him 3 times before he got you. u'd know when u acctually hit him in the head cause he'd probably fall over and stop moving.

that would be kind of ridiculous and completely erase the fun of being a sniper cause anyone serious about playing one would need jump servers jsut to find an opening

and frankly, despite being a staff sergeant, i dont think u really have much grounds to complain about how underpowered the m95 rifle is, rather u need to acctually learn how to fire guns, in general. cause honestly your infantry weapon kill/death ratio is attrocious. time to step out of those choppers and tanks and get ur feet wet.

Why are you people suggesting sniper limits blah blah blah? The snipers are fine, not too powerful, not too cheap. It's time to get used to the fact that snipers don't rule the game anymore.

well in CS:S with the awp its a 1 shot kill anywhere except the M95 dus do 95 damage and can penetrate glass

How do you know that you hit someone? Does the 'cross' inform that you've got a hit? If it is so then I must be doing something wrong because I've had situations where I hit 2 - 3 times someone with M95 (if the 'cross' is a hit) before a kill. Just limit 1 - 2 snipers per team and make it as one shot kill weapon if hit to head (might already be) or chest.

when you press fire hold the button down for an extra second then youll see if the hit indicators come up

from my experience the M24 is far better than the M95. the M95 was my first unlock and i've done about 16 hours of sniping so far. i didn't really use the M24 much untill i came across all those threads about the M95 being crap ..and unfortunately i have to agree with them.
i've been playing a couple of rounds with the M24 yesterday on Sharqi and Karkand and i racked up bout 30+ kills each round, ending up as one of the 3 best players each time. i was amazed at the number of 1 shot kills i made and i know for sure that those people weren't injured before since they had just spawned :p i NEVER got that with the M95. with that gun it's always hit.. pull out pistol.. finish them off. and the ability to pierce armoured glass or whatever just doesn't make up for the lack of accuracy. i think i only managed to kill chopper pilots once or twice although i had quite some chances for a 'clean' shot.

conclusion: the only thing the M95 is good for is to replace the toy sniper rifles on MEC/China side.

There's nothing wrong with the M95... If you don't play sniper a lot, ofcourse you'd suck. lol

I like it the way it is... It's cool that not everyone can use it effectively... if they make it a one shot one kill deal... then snipers would be god. :P

I still find it an insult to gay people, since the "gay-stupid" got its start by people equating homosexuals with negativity.
