    Re: The most stupid teamkills??

Having the punishing system is the thing that i hate most about this game. That and it takes so much to vote someone off. IF they got rid of the punishing and made voting off easier, it would balance out.

Ok, I can handle being teamkilled or teamkilling with just a slight touch of a vehicle (just - it's still pretty lameass), but what I can't stand is being punished for teamkills with stray anti-air missiles. Punishing should be reserved for deliberate teamkills, and how exactly can I deliberately lock onto a friendly with a stinger?

launching a m203 grenade about 200m on karkand, only to watch a fully loaded humvee drive right into the path...

          Re: The most stupid teamkills??

I would rather have the vehicle physics somewhat realistic than fix the punishing system, it's fairly easy to whore teamwork points to make up for the negative points you receive for being punished.

Making the vehicle physics more realistic (Such as being able to lay down/stand on top of an APC/Tank and have it move and not make you die.) would make the game alot better, and would give the opportunity for some great stunting videos or some great in-game moments, I can see it now, attack heli with a guy on each wing, a hover plane hovering very carefully with a couple of guys walking around on top...

You should also be able to go enter a vehicle in a non scripted way, ie, in the back of a vodnik, you should be able to jump-crouch and move in the back and hide there, you shouldn't have to press the 'E' key, then F3, or F4.

I remember in DC jumping in the blackhawk (Actually jumping in, not pressing 'E') and having my friend fly me around, I was disapointed when I found out I could not do this in BF2, let alone hop on a tank while the driver moves around.

when im layin at the ground sprayin to the guy infront of me with my saw and my medic has the smart idea of gettin between me and the enemy to give me health... i think they dont get at all how fisics work...and of course they punish it was my fault for not to stop shootin in less than 0'3 secs

Selected request ammo on the communication rose for some reason caused me to fire the SRAW straight into the jeep in front of me carrying 2 of my team mates. Doh!

Stinger/IGLA implacements ... fire off a shot at a BH, it flies right through the cabin compartment and takes out the attack helo about half a map away... punished

Throwing Med packs on karkand at the 'siege' part (you know right at the start of the map people pile to the corrogated fences/pipes) and run out only not to pay attention that I got switched to grenades

                    Re: The most stupid teamkills??

I wen't -25 yesterday evening by sitting in an IGLA for about 2 minutes.
I've had tremendous success with IGLAs in previous BF2 sessions, however, yesterday was somehow different. I don't know how to explain it, but it seemed as if my AA missiles went chasing after everything but my enemies.
I am aware that the AAs are a bit buggy and therefore I never launch them if I see friendly air assets in my field of view. Yet they gave me a ****load of TK's and of course people had the itchy finger on PgDn...

Another time I was transporting my buddies in a BH when A Jet pilot hits us and kills all of us. Guess who got 5 TK's...

                      Re: The most stupid teamkills??

Last time I played it was horrible tk-wise...On the Songhua Stalemate map, I was a gunner in a fully loaded Mi-8 and a US APC shot at us when the damage indicator was already red. The pilot told us to bail out, which I did, but right after the chopper exploded and I got 4 tk's for no apparent reason... And one person even punished me(the others were my squadmembers, who seemed to have more common sense)... Next map: Sharqi Peninsulaa. My teammates must have had had a serious lack of knowledge concerning the regulations of pedestrian traffic on roads, because they had a habit of crossing the roads right in front of my moving apc usually when I was concerned with the Abrams that popped out from the corner or that bloody beeping sound of the locked on AT-guys... I got at least 4 tk's that way, and i'm seriously thinking on creating a mod with damn traffic lights, pedestrian crossings and policemen, who enforce people not to jump in front of moving vehicles by fining them for a few medals if they do so...

                        Re: The most stupid teamkills??

For all snipers who complain and dont understand the claymore-on-ladder situation.

                        Most innovative use of claymores:
I was USMC medic on Sharqi (so was my teammate), I saw our chopper is on the tower, I started climbing the stairs. About the 5th floor: claymore(friendly)
So our sniper went up, and sealed the way for all the others. I walked on it, my mate revived me, no punish. One storey upper there is another one. Walk on, get revived, no punish.
Guy: "WTF, noob, can't you see?"
I: "I can see, but we need the chopper."
By the time we arrived to the 7th floor: another claymore. Pff. I walked on, PUNISHED, get revived, got the chopper.
So after he got two TKs, he placed the 3rd claymore exactly as he shouldn't: hurting his team more, then the enemy.

You see? If you use claymores to seal off a place, some can think: F* him, i go up, die, punish, respawn and go up again. Try to use your claymores so teammates CAN AVOID. Not to seal roof from enemy and friend alike.

And regarding claymores: I made the mistake of spawning next to my squad leader: A sniper who hade claymored everything in a 50 foot radius. Me and 2 squadmembers died upon spawning.

Don't be a squad leader if you're a sniper. I hate spawning in the middle of nowhere or on top of the tallest crane.

                            Re: The most stupid teamkills??

I played as an engineer on Monday and had been placing mines on the main route in to the city on the Strike at Karkand map. Later on in the game I noticed my kills had gone down from 7 to 0, then I was kicked from the server. Then I looked at my stats and noticed my rank and badges had all gone.

I checked my stats on Tuesday and they we're all still missing, I checked again yesterday and they are all back now. I presume some of my team mates must of driven over the mines and they counted as team kills against me, I won’t be playing as a engineer again.

Has any one else experienced losing their rank and badges like this and was I banned?

one time, i placed mines on the road, very very visable, nothing covering them. I jumped in a car with this guy who started driving right towards them, but luckily stopped before hitting them (I bailed out long before he got close cause i just saw what was going to happen)...the guy backs up a little, stops, then proceeds to drive forward again, hitting the mines and giving me a tk....he saw them....and then decided to drive over them anyway...thanks...
