Actually that is incorrect. Catlysts 5.8 which were released about 1 week ago, fix this problem.

Those of you claiming to have perfect shadows, post a screenshot of the same thing I did, and prove it. My friend bought a new 7800 GTX, and his shadows look like crap too. I would love to see what they're supposed to look like.
None of those screenshots have a close up of the shadows on a vehicle. My shadows look perfect too from 15ft away.. How about more shots like you see below..

I have them too, driver 7.7.7.7 (463/1260), i can benchmark nearly 12000 on 3dmark05.
Vehicle shadows seem to be the worst.
I don't think perfect dynamic shaows are expected without AA. Because the game will cast a shadow reading data from the model. Thus if the model has jaggies, the shadow will too. A simple fix is to put 2xAA. It smooths the shadows out very nicely. I run 4xAA and my game looks great.
