Are you sure about that regarding Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR)? I know infrared is used in combination with NVGs to enhance visibility, but FLIR is also used as a separate viewing solution.

FLIR units measure the amount of infrared energy emitted by various objects and life forms. In other words, it allows the user to "see" the amount of heat (or thermal energy) an object emits.

FLIR can also be set to "black hot" as well as the usual "white hot."

They will have an engineer class, and they will be played as a lot i think. 'Real' APCs? What 'real' apc isn't armed these days? If you are referring to the old m113 'metal coffin' there's a reason they don't use those any more.

alpha, anti-tank rockets are to stop tanks, not infantry. I suggest you rethink your weapon choice.

And they said that all kits will have night-vision goggles that will use a bar similar to stamina. It will drain slowly, but will regenerate itself when not in use.

You're probably right... I'm just a Doc... wtf do I know I was always under the impression that infrared light and infrared energy were two different things... I just get kinda peeved when movies such as US Navy Seals show snipers using thermal scopes.

I may have misquoted then... that would be my fault. I know that with NVG's you can light up an area using an Infrared spotlight and I've used thermal sights before... TOW and Dragon sights...(had to lug those f00kers up a huge mountain for testing purposes to see if it was worthwhile to let other units take them... heh... thermal sights, batteries for the radio for 5 days, stripped MRE's for 5 days, change of cammies, socks for 5 days, rain gear, patrol ghillie, ammunition, ranger roll, 8 qts of water, AND my UNIT5 medic bag ARGHGHGHGHGHH).

i dont think the night vision is a good idea.. if everybody gets night vision than how is dark going to help? mind as well play in the light. i cant wait for the apache, only reason for buying game!
