hey i just got my new procssor and its an amd xp 2800+ 2.2ghz.... but when i play bf2 i notice no diffrence from my old processor witch was 1.25ghz and my system still says that i have that same 1.25, my graphics is a 6600gt, and i have 512mb of ram.. anyone have any ideas?

Did you adjust all of those settings you need to do in the BIOS? FSB, clock multiplier etc. -

Your amount of ram is the problem, BF2 isn't a real CPU crusher, more a RAM and vid card .

Did you do what Jarme suggested and check your FSB? You could be running at a lower setting (lik 133) when your cpu might need something more (like 200).Comment

Remember that 2.2Ghz Is the AMD Standard.. So they would have to say something like "2.4Ghz Intel, or an 2400+ AMD" - Since he has 2800+ Which is around about equivalent to a 2.8ghz Intel he is okOriginally posted by Inco

Yeah, i have a 3200+ at 2.0ghz, and i easily beat my old comps P4 2.8ghz processor. AMD now proves that the clock speed isn't the only thing to look at when buying processors.Originally posted by Flying VortexComment
