We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Any recommendation on how to alleviate this issue?
I don't know if there's a bug like that. If I hear "enemy infantry spotted" 4 times then I presume that the commander has spotted 4 times (maybe the same person each time, up to commander).
I have one issue as a commander (what little time I have spent as one), I find that when I "spot" an enemy it doesn't always take, I may need to hit them 3+ times. Now conversely, when I am playing in a squad when I hear the commander do this (though I know he is just trying to help) it is very frustrating to hear again and again
"enemy infantry spotted"
"enemy infantry spotted"
"enemy infantry spotted"
"enemy infantry spotted"
I assume this is some kind of bug from DICE?
Any recommendation on how to alleviate this issue?
I find this very annoying as well, non-stop spotting drives me nuts. But untill they fixed the above bug it will continue to happen. Hopefully it's in thier list of 140 fixes....
I ALWAYS spot - infantry and vehicles.. i make it a point to spot enemy aircraft too as i see them fly.. to help friendly pilots keep track of them.. (im sure it helps)... i too though.. see that virtually nobody else spots .. anything at all.... (maybe they're ALL noobs and dont know the feature exists?)
and Ghiest- spotting enemy infantry just after doing a SAT SCAN.. will not take... (im assuming thats what you're doing) the yellow has to fade completely before spotted enemies will come up red... (thats what I've come to figure anyways)
There is a balance between spotting enemies being useful, and being annoying if it is done constantly.
Some people pay no attention to your 'enemy spotted' or the uav. It is very fustrating when playing commander if you put a uav over a friendly tank taking a flag, but the guy in it does not use it. On many occasions this happens and they are sat there looking around for enemies creeping up on them, completely ignoring the fact that the uav shows on just 5 yards away from them. When this happens i try constantly spotting the enemy in the hope that he gets the message, but still doesn't, then gets c4'd, fool..... I always use the uav to locate enemies that are nearby, i have no idea why some people don't.
I spot everything, because too often I seem to be the only one with any situational awareness, for example that tank that has just obliterated many people and is coming up behind us, while my allies continue forward blissfully unaware of their impending doom.
I also spot infantry because I suck at close quarters so at least if I die it gives my friends a chance to find the opponent.
I use the commo rose(Q) all the time but i find that people ignore what you have spotted and carry on regardless, unless your in a squad that is working as team the commo rose is pretty useless as people ignore.
Pls forgive my ignorance....
How do u see that threat on the map.... when i ear those warnings i try to perceive where were they spotted and no sucsess. I also use it when i can but not sure if they were usefull.
