    Not if you record something locally (i.e. a singleplayer game or similar), then the file is directly saved to a folder called Demos in your mods\bf2 folder. It's only when you play online on a server with the BattleRecorder enabled that you need to download the files.

    BattleLauncher does not do any recording of any type except the much appreciated sound recording feature that is missing from Battlefield 2/BattleRecorder. I don't see why I would spend time to code in a feature to capture video when the BattleRecorder has a "Render to Video" option.

    If you're looking for something like FRAPS then you should go with.. well FRAPS.
