i think they refer to lil kids who start playing rated M games when tehyre not suppose to and they are still learning whats rite and wats wrong and well...its their own fault

No when it comes to little kids its not "their" fault, its their parents fault, little kids dont know right from wrong and if their parents haven't taught them that, then i pity their future. And in the case of teens and adults well there is too big of a controversy over that..so lets leave it there. So coming back to my point you cant blame little kids, like in elimentary schools and even junior high school, its the way they are being treated by their parents, if the parent cant have resposibility over the child then the next thing hte child learns from is their peers, and now we all know about peer pressure, we have all had it in some time in our lives in one shape or form. Need i say more.

I agree to that. Sadly, a lot of parents (or other people) buy a game for their 12 year old that's rated M and what not, when that kid definately can't handle because they simple haven't matured enough, haven't been taught right from wrong (which sometimes can be the fault of the parents), or a horde of other factors. I personally was playing rated T games long before 13 and rated M games long before 17, but I haven't killed the first person, nor have I ever been in a fight. (although the reaction from my mother when I rented Tenchu 2 once and was slitting people's throats with a katana was priceless :p )

I'm a Gran Turismo fan, so shouldn't I have the worst collection of speeding tickets? I've never gotten one (nor do I speed, mind you), which shows that game doesn't effect me either. No matter the behavior, the game makes no difference, it doesn't brainwash you into thinking that's how you should act. The world would be a VERY scary place if it were. Mario would have killed us all, everyone would have died from eating mushrooms they saw out in their yard and thought they gave you an extra life or made you grow larger. Or pitfall, if you see a puddle of water, you HAVE to swing over it. I don't see that happen either.

How about the more agressive people seek out the violent games? It's really the same thing, only organized, well, backwards. You really can't say video games make people violent without considering people who look for violence look for it on purpose. They enjoy that stuff, heck, people even could vent from that to PREVENT themselves from killing people. Quite frankly going on a lil killing spree in Battlefield 2 can relieve stress as far as I'm concerned, and you really don't have to worry about anything except for some jerk punishing you for an accidental TK.

I say leave the gamers alone. The games aren't brainwashing them, they look for the games on purpose, the games don't look for them.

yeah it was JFK reloaded i mean the event was called the JFK assassination like you just said when Lee Harvey oswald killed JFK. Yeah and there were obstacles and stuff.

Yeah, I think it's the little kids who are playing these M rated games that are the problem. I remember one im ewhen me and my friend were at an internet caffe type place (except with video games) and these two 10 year olds were playing BF 1942. They were getting so excited whenevr they killed someone that they started banging things and screamed! And this was only BF 1942!! The manager actually had to ask them to leave. Those ratings are on the box for a reason....
