Games cause violence? i think not.

"a study done by Game Revolution's Duke Ferris digs up an avalanche of evidence that shows playing games does not contribute to real world violence, as the following chart shows:

But I call foul. All you have to do is look at the numbers in a slightly different fashion, and you will see that since the popularization of the video game, violent crime has risen sharply, and is climbing at an alarming rate since the introduction of the violent and sexually perverted GTA.

When will the scientists stop lying to us!"

Violent video games releave an outlet of aggression. If you can experience violent virtually than many people don't need to do it in RL.

Of course you get those nut-jobs that'll blame anything to cover their ass.

    Violence is ok for adults.

Nah it don't affect noone but the phsycos. Think about it. If a phsyco attacks someone they blame video games, so should we blame hubba bubba when a retard eats gum off the floor?

Video games don't really cause violence. I've played games since I was four years old and I don't think of doing anything violent. I don't rob stores or steal cars. Most people who play games are just normal people or nerds. :-)

I think it's just bad parents looking for an excuse for their bad children.

PEOPLE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS! PERIOD!!!! Game companies just provide a product and it's the consumers choice to buy the product or not.

Oh, at first I thought you were truly a raging, immoral psychopath with nothing to lose and only vengence on your mind.

Afterall, they have you all over CNN and Fox News, along with all of the other major news networks.

                            I really do worry.

Youde have to be pretty messed up in the first place to be influenced by a computer game in this way. My feeling is that computer games may 'trigger' people already a little ****ed up. But obviously banning games isnt the solution anymore than banning books, films, pictures, religion, politics, rock music or anything that could potentially push someone with issues over the edge.
The normal people shouldnt have their games taken away for the deeds of fruitcakes, who have such weak minds they are influenced by a computer game.
