I was just wondering how it was going to work. Change the disk and load a different game? Or will it be under BF2 still? Or will all of the SF maps be on the server list for BF2 and you can only join them if you have the expan?
Battlefield 2 : Special Forces. Hows it gonna work?

Thats what expasnions do...they split the communities. Either upgrade or suffer.
But hey, Im just speculating. It makes sense to me and seems to be about the only way for them to do it. Cause theyre sure as hell not gonna give us the free content.Comment

No, itll probably install to a new folder and everything and the youll get a new launch icon. Im sure the Stats will be transferable. But us BF2'ers will definately not beable to play with you SF'ers, obviously. Expect a new icon imho.Comment

yeah, i needs to be like 1942 and RTR and Secret Weps. That way the SF maps will have the SF stuff in them and the Vanilla maps will have the vanilla stuff in them. I would hate to have to split a server, I don't think i can live with one or the other, i must have both!Comment

It won't be a total split of BF2 like some say here.
You will need the disc of the expansion, but you will be able to play BF2 and the expansion.
You will only can install the expansion if you already have BF2.
In the game, you will find servers running BF2 and special forces, you can filter the way you want.
I am almost shore there will be servers running both, so a map original BF2 and a map special forces.
The only thing I am wundering about, is the stats, if you are a seargeant in BF2 , will you be a seargeant in the Expansion pack ?? I actualy think it will be this way, wish it would be like it.Comment
