I go Black hawk Hungry in BF2. So does other players I know. Then one day, I was USMC side. Came a second away bringing one down. "Hey!!..I am on USMC side..what am I doing?!?!" If they change the aspects of the Black Hawk situation in the next patch. Oh well..

It would be OK if they just made it so the transport helos couldn't repiar in mid-air

And the AA would be any good in this game.. The AA-tank is to weak imho.. Also 1 shot with the main gun of a battle tank should be enough to bring a heli down.. And/or they should shorten the lock-time on AA turrets etc.. And/or they should make the flares reload time much longer.. And/or there should be an AA infantry unit..

Heli's and planes in the hands of descent to good pilots just dominate certain maps so much it's not funny anymore, simply because it's to hard to bring them down and they can kill anything on the ground instantly..

In combat it always comes down to the ground war. Infantry and ground vehicles should be the only ones that can cap. Maybe if you land the helo next to the flag a cap would be ok.

Original poster you think this is an 'exploit'? It most certainly is not an exploit. Learn to fly the darn things and you might think different. There are plenty of ways to stop a blackhawk. It just takes a little concentrated effort on the part of the ground squads (assuming there is no attack helicopter). 'Magine that. Teamwork.

Seems rather silly when you are on the other end of it, does it not? That is because it is silly. We are here to share our interest (or disinterest) in BF2, not grade papers man. You really are a good speller overall, and seem to have a good head on your shoulders when you are not complaining about BF2 or insulting another TotalBF2 member. without fear of damage? Nope..

Chopper Capping is lame, shows no skill...as a matter of fact it shows
LACK of skill.. wheeee look at me hover.. hop out? hell no, I'll get shot!


That exploit combined with the constant flow of magical UAV maps with
your enemies location on it makes this game suck more and more each
day.. Quickly growing tired of this game, already.. and its not even out
of beta yet.. sad.

As far as 'help' that I 'need'.. I disagree..

As far as my overall refelections of Battlefield 2.. lets just say I was
hoping for a LOT more that what I got.. Its slightly better than
Battlefield Vietnam... It had potential to be GREAT, but fell way short,
imo. I have ran over 60 Game Servers for this and other games, and I
can tell you without question that EA is the worst publisher out there.
This game is still in beta form... EA rushed its release because of the
dollar signs..

Had John Madden only signed with EPIC, we'd all be enjoying much
better games right now, trust me. :)

Oh, and yea, I make typing mistakes like the rest of em..

and I am man enough to eat my crow when I am served it, deservingly.

It should force ou to jump out. Yeah know like it was ment. A choper drops you off. The squad is left to the rest. While there is suport in the blackhawk. But it didn't work out. If it forced you to jump out of a Hawk then we would'nt have this problem. Because people then would have a chance to take out the troops and leave the hawk defenseless!

Hell I dont know.. I cant see how anyone can defend chopper capping,
honestly.. Sure you are going to get these good Chopper pilots in here
squirming and crying bloody murder if it was taken out.. to that, I say
so what..

For a game that was intended to be modern combat, and used REAL
items from start to finish... somewhere along the line, they allowed
choppers to capture ground.. and magical maps with your enemies
location on it 24/7.. These wouldnt bother me, if I had the option
to turn them off as a server admin.. but EA, being the all controlling
idiots they are, dont allow admins to do much of anything if they
want a ranked server..

I guess Im just too used to dealing with a good software publisher
like EPIC (Unreal Series...) for the past several years.. where maps,
mods, skins, options, etc etc etc are not only allowed but ENCOURAGED.

This is why Battlefield games will get old quickly.. but thats EA's whole
intention.. they want to charge you another 30 bucks later for a
expansion pack for 8 more maps in it, and they sure as hell dont want
some decent programmers out here making maps and stuff on their own,
HELL NO. BAN THEIR SERVERS IP THEY WILL.

I think (if I decyphered it properly) that I agree with you. To fix the "exploit", the blackhawk should only count the pilot for the flag cap. If everyone else deploys from the BH, the flag should cap in about 6-10 seconds, then they can hop back in. Seems fair, seems reasonable, seems balanced. It'll mean a good team can still do some serious captures with the blackhawk, and work on their parachute skills while they're at it.
