    Re: Acquiring Badge/Medal Feasibility

I think they should have lowered the time requirements. This is truly F**ked up how long you have to play to get a medal. The points to get upgraded should be lowered too. that or make it so you can have all the guns unlocked by Sarg, or Staff Sarge by giving you more than 1 unlcok per rank. I dont want to have to get 150k points to have all the guns unlocked.

its easy to get all basic badges, some ribbons are way easier, execpt ones that need you to get cirtain kills and time, i took my time getting the badges, the other medals that need over 500hrs will take forever...since i have all badges i play for fun now, and maybe to unlock all other weapons

Wow... the game has only been out for a little over 60 days, and he's already racked up 590 days of playing time. He's uber 1337!!!

Some of the time stats are a bit ridiculous......7000 hours.....that is WAY WAY too much. There will be like 10 people who get that ever, after playing non-stop for several years, if they don't change it. I'm sure they didn't want it that rare lol.

Halving the time requirements for most would be much better imo.

IMO...EA focused to much on time requirements then points or kills....I mean seriously anyone can sit there and use a kit for a couple hundred hours.....

If you look closely at say the badges you will notice that the point requirments dont go up much but the time requirments sky rocket....

Exactly... there is too much focus on time rather than points or kills. It's just plain ludicrous speed.

                        lol bring it punk:p

I agree that lowering the reqs. too much might affect an abuse on that specific medal and such, but even so! I've had this game for two months or so and I've got 50 hours under my belt. That's just over 2 solid days of gaming.

That means I've only got about 123 freaking solid days of BF2 LEFT!!

Definitely agree with you on that point. It's not experience, it's ability that should matter.

I have some medals, the first one I got was the good conduct medal, you get this one after 250h playtime and 27 kills in one round without tk or t damage .

combat action medal is also min 250h playtime but you do need 25.000 kills

combat infantry medal is from 500h , also the veteran and expert one.

etc... they take some time to get, but it shure isn't 3000h

                                Re: Acquiring Badge/Medal Feasibility

Veteran Badges require only 15 hours with the kit.
If it's saying he needs to play for 3000 hours / 24 hours = 125 days
Thats based on using other kits. If you use only the Spec Ops kit you need a total of 15 hours as Spec Ops and 20 Kills IAR.
100 hours and 40 Kills IAR for Expert.
Where are you all getting the high numbers from ?
I think the most time needed for a Medal is 500 hours. It'll add up to a few thousand if you want all of them, but the OP was talking about the Veteran Spec Ops.
