I still love it. Not so good in some situations where accuracy goes down a little bit but if you change correctly between auto and single shot you can own nearly anyone.

Again great weapon for assault into bases and great weapon for sniping.

Ok so im actually a 24950 points or so and was sure that my next unlock was gonna be the l85a1

But today ivé seen a couple of threads criticising it and more or less accusiong it of a downgrade.

I read a guy saying that he rather had the m95 for the unlock... that was my doubt... the sniper rifle...

So which you guys reccomend?? The l85a1 or the M95???

I play both classes the same so...

Its to under-powered, shoulda just put in a regular SA-80.

go for th L85A1 pick it up alot in karkand and its great in CQC youll have to learn how to shoot but on long range i rocks, dont forget to put it on single though(if your going for ranged attacks)

In my oppinion, the G3 and the Anti Tank shotty are the biggest waste, those will be my last. (except i made the horrible mistake of getting the G3 first)

wtf, the DAO a waste? as compared to what, a tac nuke?

the mp5 sux bollocks, the DAO really is an awesome improvement that rounds out AT quite well.

between L85a1 and M95, I went for the L85a1 because I hardly ever snipe anyway and must say the single shot owns.. even at short range, just using the gun as an oversized pistol

it's toy sound can make it harder for your opponent to locate you as well.

l85 is a good gun but in close combat i wouldnt want it lol the m95 takes alittle to get the hang of but it is a good gun

Unlocked the M95 and here's 2 good reasons its the best choice overall;

1) 95 hitting power versus 45 so you can get alot more 1 shot kills sniping as MEC or China versus just plinking with their semi's [dont forget when you wing someone, they're likely gonna run or start jumping around.]

2) Bullet proof glass and I'm pretty sure it also negates body armor for classes with vests like inf. / AT. etc..

* I am getting ALOT more 1 shot kills with the 95 than the standard US sniper [I stopped bothering with MEC/ China stock snipers.]

Versus the other unlocks that have better accuracy or slightly better hitting power or rate of fire, the M95 offers the most 'upgrades' to the class especially non-US kits.

The L85 was my first unlock and here are some of the things I've learned:

A) Become a master of switching shot modes. (maybe remap a button)

B) Recognize and categorize each and every possible encounter (Cc, med, long).

C) In close combat situations less than 5m switch to full auto (already be in full auto since you recognized the sigtuation) and start at the upper chest or neck and let it rip...this thing has severe recoil so your kill shot will finish at the head.

D) NEVER use the scope in auto mode even if you burst. You won't hit jack....

E) NEVER use auto if your enemy doesnt see you...switch to single and make deliberate head shot attempts...unless you are close combat. When hitting your enemey with single shots it seems to be harder for them to locate you

F) NEVER use auto if you are running for cover...it will deplete your ammo for the invitable next exchange.

G) NEVER scope if your enemy is charging from a medium distance...it limits your view for finding cover and it tends to panic you when you try to find the cover you thought was immediately next to you.

H) NEVER underestimate the power and accuracy from quicktapping your single shot at medium distances. I cant count the times where i've been in a firefight with an assault or pkm and i've killed them with single shots on the run.

To avoid going through the whole 26 letters i will stop here...the key is to understand the nature of every situation and know your gun fire modes. Now i'm definately no killing machine and i'm relatively new but this gun has greatly increased my accuracy and kill count. I have only recently began adhering to these rules myself...hope this helps someone.

What kits do you use the most?

That should determine your weapon selection choice, because it will probably better fit your playing style.

Play on one of thos 64 stirke at karkand servers, there are a ton of medics running around. You should be able to find a dropped kit with the L85 in it and get some practice in with it.
