I have the L85 and Im a medic through and through.
Here is my positive and neg.
Pos
Accurate as hell (once you use it for awhile)
Looks cool and I like the sound it makes.
Scoped
Full auto (for up close NEVER for Med-Long)
Good damage (more than M16 less than AK101, thing that makes it seem less is the M16 fires off three bullets at once)
Neg
Scope (Yes it can be a neg too, you lose some vision when scope is up and thats bad up close)
VERY inaccurate on Auto
Weaker than AK101 (which is fine really)
But all this really adds up to one thing, its not worse or better it is an option and it is all up to situation and the role you are going to play in your squad) If you want a ton of one man army kills then this gun is not for you (hell being a medic isnt for you) but if you want to help kill well and concentrate more on healing than on a high Kill count...go with it. Its an option gun and I use it as such.Comment

Medic gun is long range and you cant save any one by sniping it can take out people like a sniper but you wont heal any1. I guess get m95 never used it

I have both the L8 and the M95. I wish I could take back both picks. Trust me. Stay far away from both. After I used the M95 exclusivly for about a month, I accidentally selected the M24 one round, and I had 23 kills with it!! I have had round after round like that with the M24. It seems like the M95 was just a gun that made me a much better sniper with the M24, and for that, I quess if I had the chance to take back that choice, I wouldn't. But the L8 is very underpowered yet accurate. Its singleshot is great but I keep getting dominated in firefights. For my next unlock, Im goin with the G3 (Spec Ops unlock) because of the great things I have heard about it and the fact that you will be getting points for destroying commander assets after the patch. If you already have the G3, then I would go with the PKM. It strait kills. No question.Comment

I was extremely happy when I first got L8 too. Now I never use it. Default one's are better IMO.
Im gona unlock G3 at Corp and M95 at Serg. I dont play SF at all, so wouldnt use the g36c that much.Comment

Im happy with the unlock, if i control myself and shot in short bursts im quite the ownage.
It has also, as some ppl say, quite good sniping abilities.
Yesterday i was at Kubra dam and shot from quite a good distance a few guys with it.
At firefights its also quite good if you stay cool and dont loose the focus, you have to be more carefull and cant engage rambo style like you do with an Ak-101 but i managed three or four times in assault to bases to kill 4-5 ppl at the same time by watching corners and moving not so fast,
Though i wouldnt use the scope all the time logically.
Quite a cool weapon.
The only problem with it is that the medic doesnt have AT abilities, cause the Spec op +g36c is a more reliable kit due to the c4, you can c4-jeep, mount traps , etc.
On the other hand you have curing abilities and you get much more points reviving friendlys.
to finish i can say that although i wont be medic the whole time its definitely a gun worth unlock cause in lots of situations it becomes quite handy and its a weapon you like to have.
My next unlock is the m-95 cause although im quite good with the mecs svd i suck with the chinese rifle, though ive played very little with it.

my first unlock i had no idea what i was doing i picked a gun not thinking that it was for each class (it was a long time ago ok) so when i got my corp unlock a couple of days ago i decided that instead of agonizing over all the various features of each gun, i would simply pick for the class i used the most. so i got the engi's unlock. i like it a lot... really a big improvment. the first unlock i did was for the assault guy, and i almost NEVER used assualt before but after getting the new gun its way better. i never used the gren launcher anyway and the new gun seems to knock people down way way easier... just dont use up all yer ammo....

somewhere it says BF2 sold over a million copies, so why are the only about 750k registered on BFHQ? i thought u had to register to play... or do you only show up in BFHQ if you play a ranked server? so they are saying 250k+ people bought BF2 but NEVER played on a ranked server...ever?Comment

Which is why the l85a1 is a great gun to have when you're a squad leader, you can kill assist while hanging back and healing yourself to stay alive longer, wish more squad leaders would do this.Originally posted by Hollister360Comment
