A NEW problem.

wtp0015...should that stop an update? I got one, I just left it going though, and it said it succesfully updated....But then, when I start the game it goes black...my monitor clicks, and it goes to desktop...whats the deal?

I got a wtp0015 while I was updating...dunno what it is but I got one...and then it said it succesfully updated the patch. When I tried to start up the game...It went black, and crashed to desktop...Can anyone help?

Holy Hell.

1) Tried to update the game, and I got wtp0015 warning.
2)Left the update going, and it later said ''Patch Updated Successfully"
3)Tried to run BF2
4) Screen goes black like it's starting up, and my monitor clicks and boom...I'm at the desktop.

Does THAT clear ANYTHING up???

Guess so...I guess I have no idea what the 'wtp0015 warning' is. Was that the only thing it said?

I'm assuming you were running BF2 fine before and tried installing the v1.02 patch.

There is a link on the EA UK forums for an alternate patch for those who have problems..but their site is down atm

Did you have a look in the patchlog.txt in ..\My Documents\Battlefield 2\dmp\ it will give and account what has been updated and what has been skipped and other error msgs, like too little HDD space.

I turned up nothing when searching the internet for wpt00015 error. Were you playing online poker? lol, just kidding. If you can't get it working, uninstall the game completely (including the My Documents folder) and re-download the patch, it sounds like it may have gotten currupted or something.

Re-downloaded... but it says right now (about to patch) I'm getting 1.01...kinda odd...Anyhow, I'll tell ya if it works.

Alright, left the house to rent a game, and it says installation complete, but it said patch 1.01 was complete...havent yet tested game...hope it works

That's because you searched for "wpt00015" and not "wtp0015" which is the warning McGirk got.
