Really depends.

Short range: MEC and Chinese counterparts will rip a M16 apart
Medium range: M16 has an advantage
Long range: May the best soldier win :)

I won't agrue with an AK at close range. At longer ranges I rather use a M-16. I say this from match experiences cause I can't use unlocks.

Eh, either way, both guns are fun. Just depends what mood i'm in =)

The edit key is your friend, use it.

M16 is great, but at times I prefer the AK/GP30 combo, the full auto is nice up close.

Anyways, for medium-long range the M16A2 owns a AK101 and AK47. I like it better than both, burst for medium, single for long. BUt IMO G36C pwns them all.

Well, IMO the thing is better than the AK101 at long range, but that's my opinion, the only defense a M16A2 got for close range is the 203, and that's only for assault. BUt i still love my G36C better as a overall weapon, (strokes his G36C).

I really like the M16..either the medic or the assault. Been a long time since I've picked up a pack with the G3 so I can't even comment on that.

That being said the DAO is da bomb. Its my spec force killa, heh.

I HATE the M16A2. Its good for sniping but jesus christ I just cant stand burst, when you are at close range. The AK-101 beats it by far and then the AK-47 beats that too. I allways do really well with it.

Should really be the other way round.

The m16 in the game is a standard issue m16a2 which for the record is only capable of single shot and three shot burst. The a1, a3, and m4(basically a shortened m16 as you've seen) are full auto.
