Re: [NEW]BF2:SF - first ingame footage

That's one thing that really ****es me off. Why can't people criticise this expansion? No one gives a hoot when people verbally rape the s**t out of mods - which are made by the community, in their own spare time, for the good of the community - but as soon as EA show media on an expansion pack - which is being made for the single purpose of making money - nooo, you musn't criticise it, it was made by GOD!! Sure, you don't have to buy it, but you don't have to download mods either - indeed, if for some bizarre reason you ever did *have* to download a mod, it wouldn't matter, because it wouldnt cost you. Yet go ahead, flame the f**k out of that!

That's my rant about how much s**t mods catch compared to "real" games, but that aside, this still looks pathetic. Someone mentioned how this is a total departure to the battlefield game, and someone else said it "adds a new dimension to Battlefield" (subsequented by 'tard', i think). Wait, "a new dimension"? Yes, it creates a new dimension in the same way the new rayman game has an expansion pack that elts you endlessly beat up children tied to rocks in rooms with incredibly hot metal floors - aka, it's not a new dimension, it's a total departure from the original game. At least, that's what EA envisige it being....

But what is it really? Someone else said that the NV goggled will add a tactical element. No, no they won't. Either everyone will have them - in which case it WILL just be like playing in green or black at all times (note, they could make greyscale textures and you'd never ever notice), or only certain people will have them, which will simply give them an unconquerable advantage because no one else can bloody see anything!. That's not a tactical advantage!! That's just unbalance. The ziplines will be used exactly like how you saw there - just to crusade into big groups of the enemy and do you're best. It will turn into a bizarre, 3D version of Space Invaders, which everyone just spinning around, wondering where the next angel of death from above with appear from. What purpose does the zipline serve? It doesnt do anything you can't already do with ladders.

And as further proof to how little the gameplay has changed, you saw at the end there. The guy zip lined into a group of enemies, shot in between them all while a 6 wheel truck ran people over left right and centre. Yes, VERY special-forcy there, trucks running people over.

Wait, sorry, i take all this back. I just found out that i actually don't have to buy it. My mistake.
      I agree

This looks boooooooring. I can watch 3 movies and order a pizza with 30$'s. Why wasted on crap instead?
