Everyone automatically assumes that people Sergeant and above are shitty players and either have no lives or stat pad.

Why don't yall stop being player haters and accept that they are better than you, even though they may spend much more time playing? You guys make up lame excuses for why you are better than everyone else and just can't accept that people have a higher rank than you. So then you say "Ranks don't mean shit, they are all stat padders and high school kids with no lives"

Don't hate them, they just are able to put more time into playing then I can. Looking at there stats they all pretty much seem average. They also seem to use the tank at Karkand a lot.

I don't care a lot about rank, I spend a lot of time on an unranked server that has all the weps unlocked, where it doesn't really matter. That's the kind of server you want for your custom maps, btw.

Problem I see with tank whores is that once you get in a vehicle it is so easy to keep it for the whole round. When you blow up it's back in the same spot 20 seconds later... kinda like the game supports the whores don't ya think?

I'm not gonna complain too much, I like getting in the Cobra and being able to keep it for most of the round. It's easier when you have a good system and you get in a lot quicker than most people...

Well i admin the knife pistol servers and while there i just sit in the tanks so no one can use em, ive gotten over 10 hours doing that and overal only 30 hours.......ive played 200 how does that make me a tank whore

I think it's because on average most of them are homosexual and that's generally frowned upon in the "macho" gaming world.

No but seriously I think it's because anyone who is near the top as far as rankings go cannot possibly have a good job, social life and a hot gf or wife and still be able to put so many hours into BF2. It just doesn't add up. Think about it.

I dont see where it ranks the best players??? I see a "leader board" not the "best player board" I think the problem is the leaders think there the best players when in reality they just lead in time played and whoring. Its kinda like saying Im the lead bitch in prison, it sounds important, but I not where I want to be!!!

look at it this way, if people have that many points in this short amount of time, they either stat pad or play 24/7. there's no way you can get that many points by playing casually in this amount of time.

look at this example:



the guy on the left is TwF.bELtraN. ranked NUMBER 3 overall in armor. the guy on the right is GODJOEY. ranked NUMBER 2 overall. this happened on karkand and at the main usmc spawn point. you know, up the hill? they were killing everybody who spawns there and the commander were dropping supplies like crazy! simply put, they were unstoppable.

so all the other kiddies kept saying how they were tank whores, throwing insulsts at them, etc. and not doing anything.

In their defense a few anti tanks could do some serious damage to those APC's but that would mean some thinking of the other teams part, and when your getting spammed, complaining is the easiest thing to do.

I guess when your near the top of the leaderboard you want to stay there and will do and use any tactics to keep it that way.

This game, as great as it is, has people more concerned with rankings, badges, ribbons instead of enjoying the true nature of the game. I'm a bit of a hypocrite because for some reason, gaining badges has become something to strive for.

of course they can, nobody's stopping them. But the title of the thread is "why does everyone hate high ranked players" not "should everyone play the way they want?"

I'm just adding a point to why people might hate top ranked players.

well it does make me happy to look at the guy with highest kills stats, his kills with the shotgun (which he uses most) is less then half his deaths. All he does is armor whores. bet a lot of people hate him cause by the looks of it he sucks in normal infantry vrs infantry.

The highest ranked players probably pad but just because you are a sargeant or higher doesn't mean that you pad....It could just mean you play alot and are good....
