Why does everyone hate high ranked players?

Everyone automatically assumes that people Sergeant and above are shitty players and either have no lives or stat pad.

Why don't yall stop being player haters and accept that they are better than you, even though they may spend much more time playing? You guys make up lame excuses for why you are better than everyone else and just can't accept that people have a higher rank than you. So then you say "Ranks don't mean shit, they are all stat padders and high school kids with no lives"

How are they better than a lower ranked player? K/D ratio and teamwork score is what judges a player, not how many hours they have geeked. Check out some of the ratios for the top players, they are a joke.

Hell I don't hate people in the leader boards... I don't even know them. But I can hate the way they play... If they whore it up or just bomb constantly then expect some backlash. I'll love to play in their squad for a while and see what different tactics they use, that would be a worthwhile experrience.

Another thing I find amazing is the amount of time they've spent playing the game, some are hitting the 500hr mark. that's some solid gaming... and I'm guessing they don't have jobs because if you do the math... 500+ hrs and working 8+ hrs a day doesn't leave much time for sleeping, eating, and getting outdoors.

good on them, they're leaders for one thing or the other. respect.

instead of going by rank.. why not by commander points? I mean any noob can stat pad till they are general but have the worst gaming skills in the world. But if he wants to be a commander and suck it up.. there is nothing you can do.
If you go by points then you know you have a commander who knows what they are doing...

Some of us arent that bad , but then again only reason i play so much is broken leg, still many people that are seargent and above are good in the sense they play smart and have skill. Yea im not talking bout tank whores.

Because being commander is really boring to most people. Seriously I got my 10 hours of commander for the distinguished service ribbon and haven't been one since. Much more fun to just play.

It seems that now adays you can safely say that those sgt and under are people that dont have their ranks by whoreing or stat padding, even an occasional staff sgt as well. I also agree that high rank doesn't necessarily mean greater skill, but does absolutely means that they have more time invested.

I still get an occasional "here comes a guy with no life" when I enter some servers and im just a corporal kinda funny

People need to not care about those with the highest stats and just enjoy the game a little more.

Edit: I should stay away from saying that all high ranked players usually whore or stat pad, but SHOULD say that almost all high ranked players spend a lot of time getting to where they are, and some do whore quite a bit to get there. Stat padding is still few and far between.

well thats not really true, i play with the number 7th guy on the leader boards all the time all he does is karkand. No tank,apc,203 whoring either. Just always a medic and runs around getting points infantry vrs infantry. Im at 40,000 points dont whore anything either. Its really all about time.

People with Ranks play alot.. Check out there Kills/Deaths stuff like that and then you will really see what they are like

aight I admit it!! At least this summer I've been lazy as hell,..and this game is sweet! So sweet that I've spent enough time at it to break Sergeant yesterday or the day before, but now, as with so many fps's, I'm already beginning to get sick of the maps. The thought of me not being able to bring my unlocked weapons to a custom map server is really beginning to bother me.

So sweet that I've spent enough time at it to break Sergeant yesterday or the day before, but now, as with so many fps's, I'm already beginning to get sick of the maps. The thought of me not being able to bring my unlocked weapons to a custom map server is really beginning to bother me.
