    Re: Chinese Medic

I saw some show on the history channel about the like of Kalashnikov. They went out to a rifle range and opened a locker, they had left an AK out there over the winter and the bolt had rusted shut so they kicked the rusted bolt open and it worked. I'm sorry but the AK is really reliable. Granted the M-16 is more of a rifle so it's a bit more accurate, but the AK is a lot better in close quarters combat.

First of all the AK-47 is very accurate in the right hands. It also is the most reliable service rifle in the world. You can literally dig a ditch, throw it, in cover it up, and then take it out a month later charge it and it will fire. Plus it uses a 7.62mm round instead of the puny 5.56mm round the Armalite variants use. Oh, and by the way I've had DSL for 5 years.

I don't know, I've shot the AK before, and I can hit a man-sized target in the chest consistently at 100m, with standard sights.

It really isn't that big of a deal. I can do the same thing with my AR-15, and could with my M-16a1 back when I was enlisted.

They both do well if handled and shot correctly.
