Anyone who thinks an AK-47 is a good weapon is incredibly wrong and a bit slow.
The AK is a very innacurate weapon that does very little damage compared to the M16 and it jamms a lot in real life.

A friend of mine tryed out an AK by firing at the broadside of a van at 10ft and didn't hit the van once because of its incredible innacuracy.

If you wan't to know what the most fun kit is, it's the US Special Forces.
If you wan't to to know what the best weapon is, it's the SA-80 (medic unlock)
Even though I haven't unlocked this weapon I have heard that it is the most accurate weapon in the game, (minus the sniper rifle) and it does incredible damage.

Ok first of all if your friend couldn't hit the broadside of a van with a 47 from 10ft away, he needs help. I hope he's not planning on joining the military.

Secondly, the medic gun isn't the most accurate gun in the game besides the sniper rifles, the M4 is. I have the L85A1 and it isn't all it's cracked up to be. The M4 is far superior.

The L85 has horrible damage. Just to let you know. It's accurate, but I'm glad I unlocked the G36 over that. The G36 lets you literally zoom in, strafe while standing up, and just hold down fire, and land about half your hits on the target, so long as you can keep the crosshairs on him.

And maybe -now- M16's are better, but back in Vietnam US soldiers would throw their M16's away for enemy AK's, since they were so much more reliable. But, the whole "sound of the gun" thing ended up with alot of friendly fire kills.

And no, they couldn't hit page down to kick that TKing f4g.

Wow, that AK must have sucked. I've seen my friend hit targets at 300m with his AK and it tore the top 3 feet of a furn from 100m. The bullet of the AK is larger than the M16 so it leaves a much bigger hole.

The medic kit, which my roommate unlocked is VERY accurate, but the damage is far less than incredible and more in the miniscule category. It takes headshot to kill well with this gun, luckily the lack of recoil helps group the bullets together more. You'll never beat out an assualt guy in close combat without crazy luck.

The medic unlock was a waste of my unlock. I am counting kills until I get my next one. I am so pissed I listened to worthless whores that said that weapon was as good as a sniper rifle. So it zooms in a little more and looks kind of like a scope - it sucks ass...but I still use it all the time because it is better than standard medic...barely.

As for the not hitting the broad side of a van with an AK at 10ft....is your friend blind? Unable to hold an ak and aim it? Shit - even if i tied a rope to the trigger of one and swung it around my head I am sure I could hit it at least one or two times.

Maybe your friend was just a weakling that knows nothing about the kick of a gun. Even so - one would think at least the first shot would hit near the target - as long as the idiot had his EYES OPEN...oh - and they were LOOKING where they were aiming.

If he says all of these items are true - you tell him I have some perfect ocean front property to sell him in Colorado - right near the ski slopes.

Then why is it the most popular firearm in the world? Now, you're of course going to say it's cheap, but that's not the only reason, if you had M16s of the Vietnam Era selling for the same price the AK would still be selling more, why, cause the M16 was frickin unreliable at the time, they had some kinda sticky gunpowder, and that combined with a not so great gas mechanism made it jam so much. You could dump the AK in mud, cover it in sand, run over it with a truck, and guess what, it still works. The AK is like the most notoriously durable assault rifle in the world. ANyways, even i could hit a brodeside of a van 10 feet away from me, just aim the first shot at the van, and the first and second shot hit the van, the rest go flying up. For all i care you could do using only one arm if you could hold up the gun with one arm. And the SA-80 is a most controversial unlock with the M95, it has horrible recoil, in close quarters it dies to all the other weapons. The best all around unlocks are probably the G3 and the G36C, why cause they own up close, and at medium range, and do ok at long range.

When something like Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan etc. happened, the USSR threw massive amounts of weaponry at the Communists while we (USA) threw massive amounts of training/soldiers at the anti-Communists. Also, with the USSR and pro-Communist regimes being more apt to corruption, slews of AK-47s found their way into the black market. We (USA) have better control over our military's arms than that.

And yes, the Vietnam Era M16s were crap. This is the very time when most of the Kalishnikovs were produced, and thus of course they were favored. During this time the AK-47s had already flooded the market, and have been in use (the very same ones) ever since. Since then, however, the US, UK, Germany, and Israel have created better assault rifles.

Besides, you see massive amounts of Dodge Neons on the road, does this mean they're a superior automobile to the lesser-seen vehicles like Porshes and Ferraris?

Well you are very wrong about the AK-47. It might not be as accurate as the m-16 but it casuse much more damage with the 7.62x39 round compared to the newer model m-16 with the 5.56 round. I myself have a ak-47 modded with a dragonove butt stock and grip single shot only of course and at 35ft I get bullseye hits, you just gotta know how to use it.

Your buddy might wanna try too sight it in a bit.
