Had it before, that when I plant mines in shallow water, so they are barely visible, they dissapear very quickly, which is a shame, because it's a good spot.

It must have been a coincidence with you dying or maybe an enemy removed them, because I planted mines in the water on Stalemate to get my explosives ordinance badge, and they stayed the normal amount of time.
