The solution to unjustified punishes is to simply seek the person out, and return the favor, preferably 3 times, causing him to leave the server, automatically.

I'll leave it up to your imagination as to how to do this.

I always punish TK's unless the person who did it appologizes (unless of course they back up and run me over or something and I know for a fact it was not intended). I find that most people that TK, even on accident, don't care enough to appologize for it, so I just hit the Page Up button. The ones that appologize though always get a Page Down from me .

I only punish if a player just did something really stupid like run over me in their jeep in a wide open area, lol. If I get tk'ed I take a 2nd to take in just what happened...more often than not its accidental or its me just being stupid and running behind my own tank as he backs up...or getting tk'ed by my own arty though he nails 5x of their players.

I would say when I accidentally tk someone I'm punished probably 80% of the time..I still say I'm sorry even though they didn't wait for the apology, heh. Oh well I can't worry about someone elses behavior..only mine...so I ain't going to step down to n00b auto punish level, heh.

Seemed like in 1942 that wasn't many servers I played with FF... Only time I played in BF2 was with the demo but never since...would be nice to see more of those.

anyone that gives a TK for their mistake
gets banned for life from our server
we give a warning - casue sometimes even the TK is an accident
(ie you are dead and do not get to vote)
or if you miss the vote - it is auto punish
but if we catch you being a jerk - you are gone forever

I agree with Groovertron. I hate the punishing concept, i only once had to use it because somone kept TKing me because i was coming up red. After he killed me 3 times and i told him what was going on i punished him. thats when he got the point. If they fix the bug where teammates come up red then it wont be a problem.
What really chaps my ass is when someone walks up your ladder and gets blown up by your claymore then punishes you. They can see the skull and crossbones there so they need to just chill.

Another thing that pisses me of is people who will punish jets for bombing a base and kiling on teammate even though they took out a tank, apc, and a couple enemies.

how about a mandatory delay to punish someone for about 5 seconds just to stop the instant reaction to getting punished (which we've all done) and then in hindsight realize we shouldn't have...

What really bugs me about what you just said is that obviously the jet isn't using his radar to ensure that there are no team mates inside the base trying to cap the flag. Jets need to slow down and think of where it would be better to laydown bombs. Just my opinion. BTW i don't punish unless it is a friendly arty kill and it gets my squad. :)

This is an easy fix. Simply give a set amount of ptk's based on your level of promotion. If you hand out more than your set limit of ptk's for rank, your account will no longer be allowed to recieve another promotion becuase of dishonourble conduct. You would then have to open a new account and start over again from the start.

I know people would be a little more selective on handing out unjustifed ptk's if their account was on the line. Only the most evil of tk's would be warranted a punnish.

You could limit the noobs to like 10 ptks for their first class. Just to break em in softly and say the next rank you would get 20. This is such an easy fix it is pathetic.

I also have an idea. What if count every punish and forgive and write them in player's stats? BTW hi everyone I'm new here =)
