I would say NO...your video card is the weakest link....by now you should have at least Radeon 9800 PRO or Nvidia 6600....

Actually, I don't think you CAN play it with your setup.

Your CPU and RAM are good enough to run the game, seeing as the requirements are a 1.7GHz CPU and 512MB RAM. However, you're on the borderline here, so expect slow loads.

Your big problem is the graphic card. BF2 requires a 128MB DirectX9 compatible graphics card with 1.4 Pixel Shader, and I'm not sure if your card is up to date. I know that the RADEON 9500 is compatible, and I know that the 9200Pro is not. Unfortunately the table doesn't list any cards between 9200 and 9500, which is your category.

Anyway, download the demo, check it out. Oh, and try everything on LOW first! Good luck :)

PS: In case your gfx card ain't capable, you can get a 9600 for as little as U.S. $50 - and probably a 9500 for even less. It wont give you great graphics, but atleast it'll let you run the game for a very decent price. Oh, and 256/512MB more RAM ain't a bad investment either!

I play on a MSI GFORCE2 FX5200 card (until I upgrade soon) and am doing fine. The graphics aren't incredible, but I own just like everyone else still.

Graphics will not make you a better player. I hold my own and kick some ass even with this supposedly outdated card.

I have done LOTS of testing
on mulitple computer systems
although your CPU and ram are low
the are good enough
but you NEED a better graphics card
at least 9800 pro (about $140)
or an x800XL about $280
the better graphics card wil improve your frames per second about 300-400%
ram has little effect on game play
(just load up time)
cpu is better than many
and you need good internet

This my friend is not totally correct...I had a 9200 with 128mb (video card ram) it worked fine the gfx where like BFV but hey it worked...

I now have a X850XT Super dooper gfx card and it so rocks....However I did and still do have a gig of ram...I suggest if anything you upgrade your ram the game will play fine but you wont get the whole oooo and aaaaa that the gfx really have....again this is because you are going to have to run most things on slow...but it is a good idea to download the demo and try it out....and yes RAM is a big factor in this game....hello just look at the first patch issue....this game is such a huge resource hog its not even funny...

I had a 9200 on my old comp (see specs) and i had to play on lowest settings with lowest resolution, i couldn't even play the multiplayer on demo, had to play singleplayer the whole time.

Are you serious you must have some very slow frame rates....although im betting that extra 512mb of ram helps a lot....

Also keep in mind it helps A LOT to close out all unessential programs running in your background....i.e. close everything you dont need in the taks bar like chat programs such as AIM etc...dont have downloads running...the BF2 manual suggest dissabaling all windows aut update features as well and also talks about going into your task manager and closing most all processes running under a "USERNAME" with the exception of a few needed to run the OS....

Whoa, RAM does matter. If you don't have enough, your computer will be spending a lot of time moving data in and out of different places, including your HD, which is MUCH much slower than chips of course.

this is an impossible setup to have everthing on high
unless you enjoy a frame rate well under 20

1= 3.2ghz; 1.5 ram; ati X800XL card
most settings on high (shadows off)
99 fps - looks GREAT - game ROCKS ! !

2= same as above BUT lousy graphics card
ATI X300SE
all settings on LOWEST even resolution - or off
visually = AWFUL - 45 fps

3 = p4 2.0Ghz; 512 ram. ATI 9800 pro
45 -60 fps with higher resolution
takes forever to load into new map/game

once in game = runs fine -

other CLAN members
bought more ram
ALL said no effect on game play
just loaded faster
