hey m3 that coop mod some1 gave a link to changes alot of the phyisics and stuff in the game

if u just want more bodies to shoot at in SP follow this path:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\AI\AIDefault.ai

open with notepad and change these lines below

aiSettings.setMaxNBots 64
aiSettings.maxBotsIncludeHumans 1
aiSettings.setBotSkill 0.4

to theses lines below

aiSettings.overrideMenuSettings 1
aiSettings.setMaxNBots 32
aiSettings.maxBotsIncludeHumans 0
aiSettings.setBotSkill 1.0

now u got 32 or however u want really bots in sp

You can't unite in-game, but you can create a strong community. Such as talking about new modes for sp in a new patch?

about the patch, does anyone know if they can some how work in getting points for destroying artillery?

You can create an offline only account.

My nephew would like to play this game, but he has dial-up. I told him about the single player aspect but he still needs to go online in order to do so. However, after reading this thread and your post in particular, I'm wondering if this is true. Please elaborate on your statement.

No yuo don't, when your creating your account select the "singleplayer" tab. I only play singleplayer, i play with 43 bots and me on expert. I'm heading off to college next year so i'll play this game with some buds, but for now singleplayer is really nice. The only disadvantage to "singleplayer" to me is that if your a sniper and your on expert they pinpoint you un-real;istcally fast, but i wouldn't want to put it on easy. Anyways M3 there are a lot of ppl in your boat whether they care to tell or not. Singleplayer hasn't dissappointed me a bit.

I not got a good card and those who have good cards have probably got broadband and as i said people cant always have broadband

the biggest mistake ea made was force you to log into your account online to player singplayer

i got 2 accounts on in the bf2. One for offline which i use for practice when im playing offline and one to play online. You dont need an oline accout to play singleplayer

You dont have to go online to play, just make the account a offline one and go to single player. It is harder online though

singleplayer isn't bad but it could be better.. I guess it's meant to be a purely multiplay game like cs but I campain sure would have been nice. Maybe there will be more of a singleplayer in the expansion?

Like Hound_Dawg said, you just need to select the single player tab on the account creation screen. I certainly would not have bought the game if it didn't have this single-player option - so very glad EA/DICE included it.

singleplayer isn't bad but it could be better.

Reckon that offline career tracking, offline unlocks, more single player maps and perhaps some ai tweaking [squad ai could be better] would make a massive difference, but not sure how easy/hard it would be to implement all this [ I understand offline unlocks used to be a simple matter of editing a text file but that this doesn't work after the patch].

I would love to see a coop and campaign mode for those times when I don't feel like dealing with the teenyboppers on-line.
