I had just upgraded to the 5.8's (With my 9800XT... close enough to a pro) tonight.

After about two rounds, I started noticing terrain problems. Big towering spikes. Triangular patches of "water" scattered around the place. Helicopter rotors were big black squares. The text on the popup menus for the squad map was just black blobs.

When the round ended, and the scoreboard (well it should have) came up, the game crashed to desktop. The crash also somehow corrupted my account settings on my computer so I had to retrieve account and set all the graphics and sound options again. Not happy.

Back to the 5.6's - I've just played for a couple of hours with no problems.

Am running the 5.8 and its best drivers yet runs really well..

i'm running omega 5.7s and no problems here.

i'm running 5.4. I don't have any problems, so i won't fix it.

wow, this is a kludge!! the only drivers that work for me are the 5.6's. any driver past that and i get wicked vpu recovery errors. the problem with this f'ing scenario is that if ati put's some crucial fixes for another game in a newer build of the driver then i have to choose which game i would play more. i don't know if this is an ea/dice or an ati issue but i am leaning more towards ea/dice since i don't have this problem in other games.
