Re: can you guys say what weapon unlocks are good?

hmm - I can only give a general view on the Spec ops and medic guns, but the rest i have (on differnet acounts :P)

Assult - G3 - From the times i have picked this up on Karkand, i think its a great weapon. The thing that does it for me is that you can use the auto do does medium bursts of 4-6 rounds, with mostly the same accuracy as single shot - AKA you can auto people when they are stuck using single shot.... As has been said, alot of people miss using the nade lancher - I say go play BF1942 sluts!

Spec Ops - G36 Commando - Think of the Chinesse Spec ops gun, and you are close....

Surport - PKM - The Squad Stopper. It takes a bit of time getting used to the slower rate of fire, but the ablity to put people down that bit (ok, a lot!) faster is very useful

Engineer - Jackhammer - The fact that this makes you insanely powerful in 1vs1 combat means i like it! Allows u to beat you specs ops, assult, medic... Any of the traditional engie beating classes.... Only catchs? Close range, and better reload fast before that bloke comes round the couners!
    Do some more later!

It of course depends on your style of play

I play urban maps only (Karkand, Mashtuur, and Sharqi), and I've tried all the unlocks except the PKM. My favorite unlock is the anti tank. People complain about it only being good for very close range, but if the distance is any greater, use the rocket launcher, its more accurate than the sniper rifles and far more powerful. Just use it to take out targets from afar and if you're in a tight space, pull out the shotgun

I'd also suggest the G36C (special ops). It is extremely accurate and very powerful

If you have the demo on your computer you can try the unlocks any time you want. That's the only way you can really be certain of which gun to pick. A lot of people hate the same weapons that a lot of people love so you can't really go by other people's opinions.

Engineer gets the auto shotgun unlock- jackhammer which beats any other person at close range, though small mag (7).
I also have the support unlock-PKM which I dont regret; its very powerful and I think support is a very useful squad player.

i have the g3 pkm and medic of all 3 i would say i fell in love with the pkm
g3 is awsome but hit you want kills grab the pkm and put a hurt on someone at the same time get resupply points
the spec ops gun is great too i have on many occasions picked 1 up off a fallen enemy
its accurate and very effective in stopping power

Re: can you guys say what weapon unlocks are good?

I have used the Medic, Assault, and AT unlocks a lot.

The medic unlock is crap. On the up side it has a great scope, which is good for spoting and medium range sniping, and it is relatively quiet. On the down side it is the least accurate assault rifle, even in single shot, it's accuracy deteriorates rapidly on full auto, and it does relatively low damage. This is not a great gun and it is ill suited to the medic role. Even if you play med a lot you should skip it.

The G3 is great. On the down side you don't get a noob tube, and will have to learn how to shoot. With only 20 rounds in the mag you also have to watch how quickly you burn ammo. On the up side it is very accurate and does high damage. What else do you want from an assault weapon? If you play assault, get it.

The DAO is the best value of any of the upgrades. The stock AT weapons are weak at short range and nearly useless at any other range. The DAO is absolutely lethal at close range. It transforms the AT class into a highly effective assault class. If you play AT then this is a must have.

I have used all of the other unlocks at least a bit, and taken a look at their stats.

The Jackhammer is very effective at close range, but the stock engineer weapons are all very effective at close range, if you know how to use them. I think this is only a small step up, but probably worth it if you play engineer a lot.

The PKM does more damage, but has a lower rate of fire. I can't really see the point, but I know a lot of people who swear by it. The lower rate of fire probably makes it more accurate, even though the accuracy stats are otherwise similar.

The B95 is a tough one to size up. On the down side it is a little less accurate than the M24, but has the same slow rate of fire. On the up side it does more damage against body armour and it can shoot through armoured glass. I think this one depends not just on whether you like to snipe, but also how you like to snipe.

The G36C is good. It is almost the same as the M4 - same damage, same rate of fire, almost the same accuracy stats. You lose the scope, but gain some accuracy on full auto because it has lower recoil. On more open maps it might be better to have the scope, but otherwise more accuracy means you see more dead people. If you like to play spec ops then I think the G36C is well worth getting.

Personally I took the med unlock as my first unlock. I loved it to begin with, but I slowly came to realise just how much it sucked. I scrapped that account and started a new one so I could get the G3, which turned out to be a great choice. I took the DAO as the second unlock on my new account and that also turned out to be a great choice. My next unlock will probably be the G36C. I play engineer more than spec ops, but when I play engineer I almost never use the shotgun anyway (I'm usually in some sort of vehicle) so I figure the spec ops gun will get used more.
