Better hurry up and join the navy then, Cause they'll be getting replaced soon. lol

The F-14 is too valuble to replace in my opinion, and no all the F-14s have not been retired. They are currently being phased out, and being replaced by the F/A-18...which I hate more than any other plane. I just watched a show on the F-14, and they say that the F-14s are likely not to be totally retired. The planes aren't suppose to be completly phased out until 2007-2008 from what I have read and watched.

Su-37 is a tech demo. F-14 is a good aircraft but it's major card AIM-54 Phoenix has been decommisioned. Also the Aim-54 wasn't even great, it aimed in a basket and targeted enemies in that basket, unfortuantely this decreases accuracy and can even lead to friendly fire.

That has to be the most disrespectful comment I've ever seen. I don't see the airforce landing on tiny-ass runways in the middle of the ocean, do you?

disrespectful??? who am I supposed to respect????

navy should leave the flying to the Air Force, they should worry about keeping their anal virginity.

and no, you won't see any Air Force pilot wanting to land on a boat in the middle of the ocean. that's the whole reason for having bases around the world.

that, and oh yeah the idea of aerial refueling.

so don't come crying about disrepect. the only good pilots the navy has are in the blue angels, and they aren't combat proven. those tricks are pretty, but not useful.

              naval aviators are subpar.

landing your jet on a carrier doesn't make you a great pilot, it makes you a great lander. congratulations you can land your jet on a boat and have a wire catch you....

not like we'd have the inclination to land a b52 on some crappy boat in the middle of nowhere.

I don't hate the navy, they are still in the military, serving our country, which is more then most ppl playing online can say.

It's all in good fun. Our navy is the l33test lol.

LOL beowulf you are officially the dumbest person on totalbf2 which is quite an accomplishment! Congrats! Are you kidding or something or you that dumb? Ok, lets get rid of ****ing carriers since the pilots are "subpar" and send them all to the airforce. It'll just be battleships and subs in a fleet. When they come under attack the sub will just dive and take torpedo hits, while the battleships will sit there helplessly trying to shoot down enemy aircraft while being bombarded by bombs and missles. Smart one dude. And of course when a conflit builds up and you need to get a mission done fast, say in guam, we'll just fly in F15s from the philippines and refuel them to get the mission done. Nevermind that it will take hours maby days to organize an attack like that. What you fail to realize is that a carrire battle group is the most powerfull man made force in the world. They are virtually invincible. Carriers provide airbases all over the world. Do you realize that most of the world is covered in water? You cant put airbases in the ocean-O wait, you can.....omg....

ok, dumbass, if you didn't read my last post, i thought I made it clear that my posts were in jest. I realize that we need the navy, and the navy needs their various jets and pilots.

oh and about guam, it's call Anderson AFB.

But I'm glad that you have asserted yourself as totalbf2s Sun Tsu. I bow to your greatness.
