Yeah, its pretty simple if you want to ignore the whole point of the BF2 developers to invite TEAM PLAY, then fine.

I guarantee you WILL actually ENJOY your time playing the 50$ BF2 if you play on a SERVER that enforces and abides by those rules....

    TRY IT!

Pretty sure a squad in a BH capping flags with a good pilot and engineers, medics. support etc... is the DEFINITION OF TEAM WORK....since you surely cant score mad points by yourself...yet for some reason instead of calling this team work you call it whoreing....

Just try and people on a server that will stick with you as a BH pilot most of the mas soon as they hear the warnning and the flashing red sign with an X bail out... its not as easy as everyone makes it sound to get tons of points with the BH....

Tell you what; you show me a server where the admins can effectively enforce all of your little nitnoid rules and regs, and I'll give it a try.

www.tacticalgamer.com is where the rules are lifted from. Full 64 player unranked server during US primetime hours. The rules are enforced. It's really an entirely different style of gameplay compared to what you get on most ranked servers. Give it a try, I bet you'll enjoy it.

Find a squad with guys that wear |TG| tags in their names and they'll help you figure things out. Make sure you join a squad before you spawn or else you'll be kicked within a minute.

sorry, but if my commander or squad leader is a moron I won't folow his orders, and if he is an idiot I will tell him to.

When I destroy the enemy's stuff (arty, UAV, ...) I won't just walk out of there but I will take a vehicle of them to (jeep, boat, tank, apc, heli, ....)

I have no VOIP , reason why, well I live with my girlfriend and I would find it stupid if I was talking all the time over the dam game whn she is watching TV or something.

And when all flags are taken and there are only enemy's on there main base, well, I will become a dam baseraper, one of the wurst kind because there is nothing to do anywhere else.

Your rules are rules for like in the perfect world, but it may be a strike to you, the world isn't perfect and rules aren't always a good guideline

Make a mod, you don't want people spawn killing you then add in a short counter that makes the player invincible until the timer expires or they’ve fired their weapon.

You don't want to be shot at your home base, again mod it.

etc, etc, oh and realize that nobody will play your mod, but good luck anyways.

                well ...

i agree ... there must be rules on a server ... like no bad language , discrimation ... tking ... cheating etc.

but u cant limit people in their gaming style ...

if somebody sits in spawn ... well ask yourself how he got there ... respawn and kill him ...

and acually i had a lil laugh about the jumping ...

well if u cant hit people ... well .. poop happens ... get a shotty and see how much he jumps then ...

so ... just relax ... its a game ... everyone is a good player ... all are pretty !!!

                banzai !!!

Just some thoughts: bunny hopping should be patched, it takes 3-4 bars of stamina to jump, but you can jump if you have 1 bar only. Be able to jump only if you have the required amount, or else you are too tired. Chain of command: well, if only I would have 1$ for each command i got that I am unable to complete, such as repairing radar with specops (squad leader, and only member of the "sabotage" squad), defending flags on the other side of the map, while I am capturing one enemy flag, etc...
Let alone "lone wolfs" are required sometimes. I can't really imagine snipers storming a flag to capture.....

Nobody is perfect. If you want to try playing by these guidelines go to tacticalgamer.com
or search for the tactical gamer servers....search TACTICAL you'll find them...they are usually populated at nigt (EST)

If you want things to be that way, get your own server and enforce those rules and guidelines. I'm afraid that if I was forced to play by your rules, I wouldn't play at all. If someone has taken control of all flags on the map, and I'm left with my UCB, I fully expect an all out assault on that UCB. To expect any less is rediculous. The point is to win, not play nice.
The great thing about BF2 is that no one is forcing you to play on the Tactical Gamer servers. You have the option of playing anywhere you like. But I would encourage you to give it a shot and see how it all works out. When your squad is focused on a specific objective that is part of an overall command strategy, worrying about base-raping the UCB becomes a moot and unintersting tactic.

When one team controls all of the flags, it is common practice to attain air superiority and build a strong defensive line outside of the UCB that restricts the opposing team from free reign on the battlefield. It allows the opposing team the ability to play and work on their strategy to break out of the confines of their UCB without having to take advantage of the lack of situational awareness that a player has when the respawn. There is no skill involved in shooting a player that just spawned.

Ambushes, raids, covert ops, deep strike bombing runs, disruption of enemy supply lines - all are modern warfare tactics and all can be played out in BF2. The secret is to improve your play style, individually as well as a group, to anticipate and react accordingly to these threats.
All of the items you mention, such as ambushes, raids, covert ops, bombing runs and disruption of enemy supply lines can be accomplished without UCB raping. All of these can take place on the UCB egress points with great effectiveness.

In regards to improving your play style, individually and as a group; this is what we strive for. But there's little you can improve upon in terms of shooting a freshly spawned player with an M1A2, nor is there any defensive tactics that can be improved while being killed as a freshly spawned player by an M1A2. There IS a lot that can be improved upon if you remove UCB camping/raping from the equation and provide an atmosphere where the winning team needs to earn their win through superior combat tactics and strategy rather than leveraging the lack of a players situational awareness on spawn.

We have three of our own servers and we do enforce these rules. So I guess this means we don't need to STFU?

Why can someone not hold an opionion different than yours and have to deal with your verbal abuse and be restricted from voicing that opionion while allowing you the very rights you're trying to deny to others?

I dont know.... is this a quiz? What do i get if I get the answer correct ?

All Im saying is, Admins run their servers the way they want.. (well,
as much as the gestapo EA will allow them..) We dont need anyone
coming around policing all 6000 servers to see if its up to their standards..

personally, imo, there are MANY flaws with this game, a few exploits,
and a couple just down right stupid things EA should have never allowed
in this game..So its possible I might agree with 100% of your idea for
a good server rules, but I dont want anyone telling me I have to do it.
                                EA does that enough, already...
