Look. The m203/gp30 is available to anybody who wants to use it. Just because someone is good with it, does NOT make them a noob or whatever you want to call it. Is it 'nooby' to run around as a medic and be able to heal yourself anytime you want? No.

I look at it this way. The object of the game is to frag your opponent, capture and hold flags, etc. I will do/use whatever is available to me in the game to help me attain my objective.

It's funny, yesterday on this server running Sharqi Pennisula, this guy would not stop calling me a n00b/whore/newb/etc because I was repeatedly killing him with everything in my assault class' load-out, including the m203. I think I had something like 16 kills and 4 deaths in the first 10 minutes of the map. Conversely, he had like 4 kills and 16 deaths. Soooooo, I'm the newb right? Kind of oxy-moronic if you ask me. :laugh:

There is nothing noobish about the 203, it takes skill to drop those in at a distance ffs.

I completely agree. If it's being a "noob" to use the M203 then it's "noob" to use the C4, Medic Bag and Paddles, Sniper rifle, Supply bag, wrench etc. etc.

I use it all the time. I don't care. That's the whole point of the assult class right? To be able to storm in and get kills.

Yeah, at the risk getting verbally abused by all the "1337" assault players here, I was just going to say that I have yet to master the art of predicting the "noobtube's" trajectory, especially with that funky crosshair it has.

So, yes, while getting nailed by a guy 100 m away is frustrating, I also secretly admire the guy for be that proficient with the weapon and silently wish I was that good. :p

As for my thoughts on the launcher, i think if it's used how it's suppost to, it's a fun weapon. But when people bunny hop around throwing nades everywhere then it pisses me off.

I don't even think the taliban use that tactic.

I think if they added a thing where the 203 doesnt explode within 25-35 meters (I think thats what it is in real life) and increased the accuracy for long range, it would be better.

Bahh! M203/GP30 this entire thread! What silliness. Whiners will always be around in any game. At the end of a match/scrim all that matters is what works (excluding glitches, exploits, cheats). Let them cry "noob" all they way until they lose their last ticket/round.
