I love the people who say stop whining about it and that the majority of people like it. Are you retarded? If the retard could count he would see 80% of the posters think it should kill the shooter too. I think it should be like Americas Army, but the only problem I see is the shooters getting booted for team kills. But then that would get rid of the homo noobs too so maybe it would be a good thing.
only time i use it close range is when i know i'm going to die, was on dragon valley today by the temple with no bullets and about 2 bars of heath. Got 2 people coming towards me so i noob tubed them. i didn't kill myself, as they shot me the same time i shot them, but i would have died if i wasn't already dead. they both died though. i generally try to avoid the noob toob though, even though i spend most of my time as an assault class...

Features: The M203 40mm Grenade Launcher is used while attached to an M16A2 5.56mm rifle. It is a lightweight, compact, breech loading, pump action, single shot launcher. The launcher consists of a hand guard and sight assembly with an adjustable metallic folding, short-range blade sight assembly, and an aluminum receiver assembly which houses the barrel latch, barrel stop and firing mechanism. The launcher is capable of firing a variety of low velocity 40mm ammunition.
The launcher also has a quadrant sight which may be attached to the M16A2 carrying handle and is used when precision is required out to the maximum effective range of the weapon.
Background: The M203 was designed and procured as the replacement for the M79 grenade launcher of the Vietnam era.
Nearly all explosive 40mm ammunition posses fuses which arm only after the grenade has safely cleared the operator, (a distance of 25-31m, though some versions were produced with only 4m clearance for house-to-house combat) preventing unwanted 'accidents'.
Hey, it's not that annoying if just one person is using it. But one time on Karkand, the whole MEC team was using the M203 -- You spawn, run to the first flag, get killed by an M203 -- Rinse and repeat about 25 times.
Know what I hate.....people who use 203's and bunny hop in TWL matches. Just got done doing a scrim with my crew against another clan and they only had 1 sniper....the rest assault. It was a 5v5. All they did was 203 everything that moved and bunny hop anytime we shot at them. We actually had plans and tactics (like splitting up and such) but they all went out the door when we were bombarded by 203 rounds. Of course we lost because we don't do cheap ass bunny hopping or 203 everything. This is the kind of stuff that keeps from doing any ladder matches. I think if you try to 203 someone less then 50 meters away, your head pops off and you run around headless and blind. Easy target. If you bunny hop while being shot at, you get stuck in mid-air unable to shoot or do anything (leave server, suicide, get TKd) until someone of the opposing team kills you.
Seriously, I was ok with 203's before tonight. It would be ok if maybe 1 or 2 of their guys were using 203's, but no, it had to be practically their entire team. I seriously hope no other clans stoop to these tactics in TWL matches. It just shows a lack of any real skill.

Lol, you guys crack me up, if you want to win, you use all the tools avilable, that would include the m203.
I didn't even use the m203 till corpral, and that was because everyone else was, so i adapted my playing style, and when 1.03 comes out, ill adapt again to combat the enemy.
Adapt or lose, its as simple as that, and don't complain about losing if you can't evolve your playing style.
The really good players, are the ones who evolve their playing styles to meet the new changes in the game.
