The first Hellfires were actually LASER guided, while the later models are RADAR guided.
(And, yes, LASER and RADAR are written in caps.)


Answer to the OP:
Helicopters do not have heat-seeking AtA missiles whatsoever.

This guy is right, the original Hellfire was Laser guided, but the problem is some person or vehicle etc. had to "paint" the target with a laser designator. So the Hellfire II has Radar Guidence so it's fire and forget.

Oh, and the APache can mount 2 stingers on one of its 4 pylons for a basic defense from enemy aircraft.
