How about a new class? Something like... Scout class. Armed with a ganker, pizt0l, a submachine gun, laser designator, and a tripwire mine that can be set between walls.

Would be better just to give it to snipers, considering scouting is one of the sniper's jobs in real life.

You don't need Laser designators at all. Jets are already owning the crap out of every map they're in.

Designating a plane in its hangar or about to take off would be a handy job for the Spec-Ops then as theyll be near the enemies UAV/Arty anyway

I think the Special Ops player should have the Laser-designator but only if the player is in a full six player squad with at least one engineer.

Dont think the game can change players equipment "on the fly", so it would need to be done beforehand, unless the commander gets an extra button for Designator Drops (maybe 1 every 15 mins)?

Wow, I'm impressed, not one comment about sharks in a topic about lasers!

Actually, I'm kind of glad the LD isn't in game. I'm already busting my but to take out tanks as a dedicated AT player only to have my kills taken away when the driver jumps ship. Jet pilots seem content with just strifing spawnpoints and flags, so at least us AT guys still have something to attempt. I feel there shouldn't be anymore incentive to fly a jet in this game, there are already too many problems with the abundance of aircrafts, and people fighting over who gets to fly when there are flags to be defended.

If the LD worked in conjunction with the AT kit, then I would be happy. I'd love the ability to fire from around a corner and get a hit

I would say, Give them to all the top 2 persons of the map, And to (CO)pilots with higer score then 50 kills in a week with a plane
The comander haves it two, Sepc ops would only have it when they dont have choosen C4, and you need to have a higer rank then lance corporal.
Engineers would NOT have it. snipers can chooce for Binocle ore the lase-designators.

EA please read this and brinnge out a new patch :P
