If you ever played Americas Army, you've noticed that their type of sights (iron/scope) differs from BF2. The guns sway when you breathe! IMO this is way better than the expanding-type sights in BF2.
Why? The sights today are mostly (entirely?) based on random (i.e. LUCK). In AA you can actually time your shots extremly well, lie prone and watch the sniper scope slowly sway up and down as you breathe, then when the cross-hairs are in their lowest position there's a few milliseconds when its almost completly stable, shoot then and you HIT what YOU AIM FOR.
In BF2, you lie prone for an hour and when you finally shoot, the bullet doesnt hit where you aim, but rather where the random-generator
calculates your hit
My point is, that with AA-style sights, the swaying can be affected by breathing, physical condition, skill (maybe badge based, not point based)
and the result would be a much more realistic aiming system. Let the sights sway freely and it's up to the player where the bullet actually hits.
Oppinions, please!
