I installed the new cats today, fresh install used the driver cleaner rebooted installed new cats. im playing battlefield and these huge black textures appear everywhere. the game isnt playable anymore these drivers totally suck ass. btw i have a 9800 pro 128. DONT DOWNLOAD THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep. After spending two full days working on the problem a few weeks ago, I ALWAYS uninstall before installing new drivers. I've got an X850 XT PE, and it works flawlessly.
I installed them on my 9800 pro and have no problems. They dont seem to improve anything in this game though. But they make the game Painkiller look sweeter.

Uninstalled 5.6, installed 5.8 on my ATI 9800 PRO 128. Had no problem whatsoever. No crashes or texture corruption. 5.8 is way better than 5.7 which should never been released at all IMO.

I have a X800pro and these new Cat drivers are the best ever. Seems like i upgraded my whole systems. I am also using WinXp 64-bit edition though. I cant believe how good they are.
