That varies but in a game I would guess about the same as a P4 2.8Ghz. It also depends on the motherboard. Nforce2 based motherboards are the fastest for AMD XP with their dual channel memory support.

do u think spending $823 on this system is worth it??

            AMD Black Diamond System

            CPU

            Athlon 64 3200+ $661
            Athlon 64 3500+ $695
            Athlon 64 3800+ $823
            Athlon FX 55 $1435

do u think that this is a good deal? i've already got a X800XL, so i dont care about the gfx that it comes with, but what i am concerned about is if an AMD mobo will support AGP slots?? btw, the money value is in Canadian Dollars

should i add $50 to bump it to a 4000+????

I'd check some overclocking forums and see what you can do with that board inasfar as unlocking those processors. It'd suck if you bought a 4000+ and you found out that you could've bought the 3500+, messed around in the BIOS for 10 minutes and make it a 4000+.

I hope you're planning on purchasing much more system RAM, you'll need it. Get at least 1.5 Gig.

Amen. My 3500+ is running smooth as silk at 2.5Ghz (instead of 2.2) with that same board. The Revision 2 board BIOS is OC friendly.

I have my 3000+ at a very stable 2.2GHz with no problems at all. Anything higher than that with my current stock cooling will make it unstable :hmm:

i have 3200+ and it runs battlefield2 great, if you can why dont u just get a custom comp- cuz 256mb RAM doesnt run much - and it would be better to get a PCI-E mobo ....... unless that is one ? i dunno but 3200+ is great for BF2 and as u propably know u need much more then 256mb RAM

                          Good luck
